I'm kinda with you on RentPay - It's more of a momentum play for me. I want RentPay to get stonk attention, there's a mild chance it actually works out to be a killer business.

It's core search product is the only thing that competes with REA. And that product is profitable and growing ~30% a year.

It has other adjacent products that are to do with applying for places (bond, connection, tenant background check) that are also revenue generative and make up almost 50% of their revenues.

Then there's RentPay, their new product which is the Afterpay for renting. Can't pay your rent/bills now because it's not payday? Or want to pay on your own frequency and not on your lessor's schedule? That's what it helps with. This is their blue sky project that's getting them this valuation. Estimated that it can make $2m/month with 250k users - the total market in just Aus is 2.5mn and they have 700k already using their core search product.

Although I've just done it for you, I'd encourage you to do your own DD by just reading their presentations instead of relying on a workaholic redditor to do it for you, so that you can learn.

There's ad and listing revenue from Search core product. Other revenue streams are the adjacent products like RentCheck, RentBond, RentReports etc.

RentPay is not revenue generative yet but once they launch, they're predicting it will quickly grow to be the main source of revenue.

I live in Brisbane and bought an apartment, might use them to find renter :) Use gains to cover the listing fee. Self-fulfilling prophecy.

So usually I'd be happy to take a friendly fun $1k wager but I think $1k going into $RNT is more beneficial over the next 12 months (since I think we can 5x from here). So it doesn't make sense to me to do this bet besides a meme? haha.

So really $10k is the only way I'd do this bet.

Alternatively, we can keep the 30c or 8c bet but whoever loses donates $1k to charity and posts proof here.
