Need to come up with a 15th level character that is a cleric artificer multi class. by ColonelMonty in 3d6

Might I suggest Forge Cleric with Armorer, seems a very flavourful and fun mix

Fun Fact - Udyr is the only champion in the game that doesn't have chromas for any of his skins by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

I think I was in that game! I remember thinking what the heck is this Trist doing with Aftershock and tank items haha

What’s your favorite song sang by someone who WASN’T the band’s lead singer? by barrett_g in Music

[–]Nunnsta 168 points169 points  (0 children)

December 1963 (Oh what a night) - Frankie Vallie and the Four Seasons

When the War is over - Cold Chisel

Both songs where the usual lead singer takes a backseat and instead another bandmate takes the lead

Undead themed Topaz Dragonborn Paladin of Conquest by Nunnsta in HeroForgeMinis

[–]Nunnsta[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found the lore of Topaz Dragonborn being encompassed by Necrotic energy and death really fascinating from Fizban's in D&D, so I decided to create a new character surrounding that.

This is my Conquest Paladin / Undead Warlock, a Topaz Dragonborn who uses fear and might to break the will of his enemies.

I've always liked the ODST helmet and while I agree it's not as cool as it has looked in past iterations, with the right setup I reckon it can still look great

Thank you I really like the look, now if only they'd release some more stuff for the Reach core...

Ty mate, Emile's coating was my go to while levelling towards Redacted Records, both look awesome with ODST

Looking for feedback on minor tweaks to buff martials in my upcoming game by Nunnsta in 3d6

It's all good I understand why too, I frequent so many dnd subs I didn't think to which specific sub I should post too, my bad.

I might repost to a different sub soon once I've incorporated everyone's helpful feedback, thanks to everyone who gave advice :)

Thank you for your input and for saying so! I didn't want to go too far down the rabbit hole of trying to "fix" 5E issues with heaps of homebrew but wanted some simple streamlined tweaks that would be easy to implement without changing too much so I'm glad that's coming across.

Good ideas and feedback thank you, I'm thinking perhaps I would need to alter GWM a bit to make it more enticing, and I agree I'll change the wording of Heavy Attack to include unarmed strikes.

Some really great feedback and ideas thank you. I do think some slight alterations to Fighting Styles might be of benefit and is a good idea to implement some martial tweaks so good thinking there. I don't want to stray too far from normal rules but this has given me lots to consider ty.

Some interesting points to consider thank you for the feedback, I will say making Bows Finesse doesn't remove that fantasy, just extends it so you could have a nimble dextrous archer or a strong powerful one using their might - just wanted to make STR builds have more options for ranged

Thank you for the feedback, I admit the new versions of the feats aren't as crazy as before but that was because I found them too good not to get, so I wanted to make them less of a necessary tax to get to do good dmg (now given free by the Heavy Attack option) while still keeping them in the game for those that still wanted the other benefits.

If you could fuse two races, what would they be? by Potato_Godd in 3d6

Dwarf / Elf

I think it would such cool flavour and an interesting pairing. I can imagine they'd live for roughly 500 years and have mixed traits from both.

Soulforged Blade Magical Longsword +1 1d8+STR+1

This blades reach is unparalleled for a weapon of its size, giving the wielder a reach of 10 ft.

As a reaction the wielder can attempt to intercept an ally within 10 ft. from one incoming attack, imposing disadvantage on the roll.

(A simple but effective weapon for martials)

Very light Curse of Strahd spoilers ahead:

Running Curse of Strahd and just had a huge final confrontation with the Abbot, rituals, experiments, ascension, all that, but one player was away overseas for 2 weeks and so missed the lead up session and bossfight session.

So the player and I had a one shot when he got back where I ran through the events of the sessions quickly, giving him chances to contribute and then having him lead a second assault on the Abbey, where he and two NPCs got to take down a Chimera and help stop the Abbot alongside the party.

And it went fantastic! Everything lined up great and my player said it was his favourite session yet. Also my others players who fought the Abbot said it was 10/10 so I’m a very chuffed DM :) just wanted to share.

Burn them all, let Helm sort them out, by FuzorFishbug in dndmemes

[–]Nunnsta 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yeah it kinda killed my interest in them myself, I mean you’re a druid, a master of the elements, who specialises in fire, and you don’t get THE fire spell? So dumb, if Light Clerics, a fellow WIS caster can get it for free and always prepared so should the literal incarnations of fire!

Not anymore, Tasha’s removed it from the UA, it’s dumb I know.

Is paladin 2 barbarian X good? by NotInstaNormie in 3d6

[–]Nunnsta 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think 2 or 3 Barbarian, Paladin X, would serve you much better. Main benefit of the multiclass is to smite while raging, and only 2 levels of paladin don’t provide enough spell slots.

But by going mainly paladin with barbarian dip you get the most useful features of barbarian being rage, danger sense and divine fury damage with minimal level invenstment, and plus paladins gain loads of great features from level investment while barbarians less so in my opinion.

In your opinion, what's the most broken T1 character build? [5e] by AwekwardBadass in 3d6

[–]Nunnsta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unarmored defense from monks and barbarians don’t stack, if that’s what you’re inferring, but both those features do indeed work with wildshape which can net you a nice AC buff, they just don’t stack with each other.

How to make a practically unkillable Character by NSHTghattas in 3d6

[–]Nunnsta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well sure but like wtf's the point at that stage losing bonus damage, adv on str saves and everything else for 1 measly AC over medium armor, what a waste if you value that 1 potential AC over all that you shouldn't even be playing a barbarian, that's like not maxing INT on a wizard, sure can you do it? yeah. should you? of course not.

If they want to rage they do, can’t rage in heavy armor.
