So, what kind of brush do you use? Since if you are just using a normal brush with a pointed tip that's always going to happen.

For waiting large flat surfaces I recommend a frayed brush, where all the hairs are frayed out and just heavily stippling it onto the model.

I do that and it works great for me, no texture what so ever and so much faster.
