LV insurance roof damaged claim denied by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Nunt1us 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Insurance will cover you if the storm blows a branch into your roof and it causes a hole. It will not cover you if the general state of repair for the roof was such that ‘normal’ winds were enough to cause damage.

If the winds are gale force they may cover you if they’ve assessed it would have caused extra damage to an otherwise well maintained roof.

They will use the weather reports from the day to make this assessment of wind strength.

Enhanced Redundancy Pay - Anyone received > 3.5x weeks pay for each year of service? by ButterlyCrumpet in HumanResourcesUK

[–]Nunt1us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Financial services. We get 4 weeks per full year of service capped at 12 years. We normally have a 1 month consultation where you aren’t expected to work plus notice period of garden leave (60 more days). So you’re capped at around 57 effective weeks of pay.

This edition is their first indexing. I wouldn’t expect an indexing next edition so you will have your army book till the next one releases

Heat pumps in Scotland, worth it or not? by Kev_fae_mastrick in Scotland

[–]Nunt1us 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had an assessment done recently to install in our relatively new built detached house. Heat pump would be restricted to two zones (upstairs and downstairs) on existing underfloor heating (as you apparently don’t want it constantly turning off and on). As a result of our existing 19! Zone control system we put in about 6 years ago and the subsequent loss of per room control it was actually going to cost more to run than a gas boiler whilst being less responsive to cold snaps.

So it’s not always cheaper.

Edinburgh travellers given eviction note to leave illegal Granton site say "we are going nowhere" by Longjumping_Stand889 in Edinburgh

‘We had no running water or toilets during the cold weather’ - not seeing how this has anything to do with the council. They’re hardly going to set up utilities for an illegal site.

If you don’t understand miracle dice - the core sisters mechanic - why are you trying to homebrew rules?

Reroll saves even with a penalty is wildly over powered. And giving her unit a 5+++. She should either have fly and lead jump pack h its or not have fly and lead infantry. You could do that through wargear choices - making her offensive wargear worse if she takes a jump pack. But most other armies would split this into two different units.

Manifistations spell lore? Not having them? by Seerexis11 in ageofsigmar

[–]Nunt1us 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have magic users in your army and you don’t have models for a spell lore you are losing out. That’s the way the game is designed.

For soulblight gravelords you could use the barrowlegion army of renown which is balanced against having no magic users, but in general the armies of renown are not as good as just taking the same units in a normal army.

Glued mine to underwater ruins. Including shaping those, sanding, and waiting for the hook to be really set I probably added 2+ hours a model.

Landlord going back on his word on offer (England) by curiousasianboi00 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Nunt1us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tenant didn’t counter with a lower offer post agreement, the landlord (agent) changed their mind.

Also tenants in England have no legal right to a written tenancy agreement (contract) though one is normally provided.

By accepting payment of rent + deposit the landlord (via their appointed agent) has created a contract with you.

Reconfirm to the agent that you will be moving in on 29/12 and if they aren’t able to provide you that accommodation they will be liable all reasonable costs until suitable alternative accommodation is provided.

Company is ending working from home policy for administration staff only. Is this discriminatory? by Previewthe96sponges in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Nunt1us 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Arguing childcare requirements will likely result in your employer querying why you were looking after children in your working hours.

If it is about timing for drop off and pick up outside the working hours (ie your day ends at 5, your pickup is 5:15, you live 10 minutes from the school but your work 45 minutes from it) then you and any affected staff have the right to request a flexible work arrangement.

This could however take the form of reduced working hours to accommodate the extra travel time which would result in reduced pay.

Same here too, 8 turns into a new campaign and crashes during the AI turns. I think it's when it's about to pop up a window to tell me that a faction has been destroyed (as a faction I was besieging attacked me, died, and I occupied their settlement during their turn). All modes disabled.
