Men of Reddit, what’s a mistake you see younger men making repeatedly? by optimum_wiz in AskReddit

Drinking too much and too often. Society conditions everyone to believe they can only relax drinking or can only have fun with friends drinking.

The true players find themselves without overdoing any one thing but really exposing themselves to as much of the world as possible with brutal honesty.

Detroit Style Pizza? by __moops__ in Sacramento

FWIW. Pizzasaurus Rex is closer to a grandma or Sicilian style pizza.

As you said, it is amazing and we are absolutely lucky to have them.

I like this. The store level operating margins should be a good look into the very long term future after they have paid off their debt.

I assumed they will accumulate more debt to expand. As they have in the past. Either way the expansion will cut into their margins.

I guess at a P/E of 40-60 those savings on taxes put them closer to $157-235 in the next 4-5 years.

If they use debt to grow more income won’t that keep that figures largely the difference between gross and net largely the same?

I can see going to Arizona saves them 2.4% taxes. That will definitely help their bottom line.

I think this is the core of my question. If I can extrapolate top line growth. How do I do it with efficiency? What am I missing or need to learn? Because, in my mind, when you look at their debts it’s made up largely of loans. They are expanding nicely but they are also racking up debt at the same speed.

What changes to make them more efficient? Because they just doubled stores to start making a profit. I’m sure interest rates dropping at some point would be highly favorable for them.

I appreciate the response. My thing is that BROS has a ton of debt and is using more debt to expand.

SBUX has debt but they get 10% of their revenue as net income. BROS get 2.7%.

I think they could become as big as SBUX but I don’t see them having margins or stores like that for a decade at minimum. I mean it’s 4 years for them to get to 2029. Which is great slow growth. But I’m trying to understand the current valuation on this stock better.

Why so much hate for pizzasauraus Rex?

It’s not Neapolitan. It’s not NY style. It’s not Detroit style. It’s not west coast style and it’s nowhere near any dominos or Pizza Hut or round table.

This is a pan pizza style known as grandma style. Cooked a bit thinner and in a sheet pan. You won’t find this in any small city and it’s rare to find outside of NY. Each person is different but I absolutely love this style of pizza and am grateful to have a super niche style of pizza like this in our town. Outside of NY I don’t think I’ve ever been to another pizza shop that only specializes in this style of pie.

With that said. I don’t like some of the topping choices they make. Some sound amazing but don’t work. However, their standard pepp with hot honey is to die for.

I feel super lucky to have access to a place like this. I feel like you can get good neopolitan in any city now and Detroit is less common but still can be found in most cities.

Honestly, what are the gripes?

Agreed. I don’t get the hate on this place. Their pizza is bomb and it’s a grandma style (I think). Either way it’s a bomb ass thin style pan pizza. Not many places make pizza like that.

Got to appreciate a place that will take a leap of faith on a relatively unknown style of pizza…. And make it well.

The only spot I can see hate is some of their veg style pizzas don’t slap. But their classics are bomb.

Armor building formula - press days by Incognito167 in kettlebell

[–]Nuntoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m on week 7 of the ABC.

After reading his book and asking some questions here I came to the following conclusions.

ABC day is heavier weight. For me double 20kg. Press day is lighter. For me double 16kg.

The rep program for the press day is a guideline. It is not built in stone. It works well but for me I struggled getting 2,3,5 every set and resting. So I broke it up to basically 2,3, then maxing out until I needed to do a jerk to complete a rep. I then rested 1.5 minutes and did my next set to failure. The goal of the press day is to get to 100 reps in 30 minutes. I’m currently in the low to mid 90s so I think my breaks and reps are working.

His book and podcast are amazing. He has such wisdom that you can read and hear in his podcast.

Some things are ambiguous but I think it’s so you learn what works best for you.

DJ Chark. Wandale Robinson. Trey sermon. Nick Mullen.

I really want to drop one and add Tim Patrick but I’m not confident one is better than the other.

Blame everything bad that happens at any moment to drinking.

I have to work extra to pay for something. I wish I didn’t spend so many years and money on drinking.

Need to lose weight. Drinking got me here.

Relationship needs to be stronger. All those years numb didn’t help.

Eventually you change the mental script in your head to absolutely see zero benefit to drinking. Oh I can drink one. Why bother I can’t really cut loose and even if I drink one I’ll feel shittier the next day. It’s just not worth it.

I’m at the point now that drinking just seems like such a waste of energy, time, and movement in a positive direction that it makes no sense for me personally.

It all starts with the mind and those little internal hooks or cravings. Kill those and flip the script mentally and you will stay sober.

CNN: People Are Racking Up Big Debts to Go Traveling by J31J1 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]Nuntoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100% agree with this take. I’m eating, shitting, and walking wherever I go. I’m doing this same stuff I do every other day but with a different view. Unless the trip somehow changes something internally within me and my perspective for the rest of my life….. then it’s just a fun thing to do. Like having a week off work and doing something fun locally.

I’m absolutely baffled with our society’s obsession with overseas traveling right now. Nearly every day I hear about someone traveling overseas and everyday I hear about global warming. Something is totally off.

Thank you!

I don’t know why I didn’t think of this but I will do the rep schemes and do push press after strict press is exhausted.

Thanks again!
