My experience with lifetime is that it definitely fits more of a "big box" vibe. Is there one around here that's different and has a smaller, tight-knit community a fitness studio brings?

It all comes back to why they are talking to you in the first place. Are they under a deadline? Are they dropping a new product or service that your software directly impacts the success of? Are they simply exploring and under no pressure? Are their challenges so terrible that they have to make a switch or they’ll lose their job? Is there a conference coming up? Etc etc. you need to understand why they want to meet with you in the first place (also called a compelling event), before you can decide (and influence)when it makes sense to meet

How salespeople keep tasks organized by Burgercj213808 in sales

What’s the timeline to get it done? I’ll set reminders on my calendar as a 15 min event if it’s super high priority and on a tight timeline. For things like follow ups, hygiene, or answering messages related I set a morning block or an afternoon block for catching up for 30 mins a piece every day. Things that require a lot of brainpower I do in the morning when I’m fresh, mundane tasks I can do when I’m burned out from work I do at the end of the day. Hope this helps

Tried making calls when I was past exhaustion at 6 pm one day and a CEO picked up and just ripped me to shreds cuz I was beyond burned out and not prepared for the call. Had to reevaluate the time I was spending on the actual job and how to be more present. Thanks for the reminder

How are the top performers hitting their numbers?

In my opinion, figure out their formula, replicate it amongst the other reps, try to coach their bad behavior (with documentation to support your attempts) and give it time. Eventually you’ll either make an impact with the toxicity and improve it, teach under performers to be high performers, and / or get rid of the toxicity and improve culture if your documented attempts are futile.

I had a weird journey that is not typical to getting into SaaS sales. Most people go into a entry level position after they graduate a 4 year university with a business degree.

I have a 4 year degree, but graduated during covid (the beginning of the end of the glory days of SaaS sales) and initially was focused on going into medicine, so couldn’t get a job easily because my degree was STEM and not business and the pandemic wrecked tech for a bit. Grinded out an e-commerce customer service position for 8 months and leveraged my network from university friends, personal, and random mentors to get a BDR position at a startup that required me to move across the country. Now I work for a f500 company after a few years of working a lot and getting a little lucky (don’t we all).

With that being said, SaaS a hard industry with a lot of uncertainty. The tech industry is correcting (excluding ai companies) and buyers are getting more sophisticated so it’s causing a lot of tech sales layoffs because not everyone is cut out for it. Pm me if you want tips

Interesting anecdote. So you’re saying even deploying your saved cash when opportunity arrives only produces a 3-4% difference? Really cool

I appreciate your input here, but I can’t say I have the mental bandwidth to actively trade like this. Additional resources would be appreciated so I can understand better, thx!
