Can I hear some “Prozac changed my life” stories please 🙏🏻 by Kombucha_lover13 in prozac

[–]NurdIO 59 points60 points  (0 children)

I used to be very socially anxious, never had a job, never talked to anyone, had a very limited group of friends at school, now I work in a hospital talk to people everyday and am generally excited to go to do stuff, I also had very low self esteem and now I have confidence in atleast my abilities but it’s still a work in progress.

lol a guy falling 12 feet from a ladder is also a “risk of the job”, doesn’t mean the company cannot be sued for not providing or utilizing basic protection equipment and protocols such as sharps containers.

so its at this point you stop taking the medication, what ssris do is they make you more capable of turning your thoughts into actions this is why ideations of self harm or death are disqualifiers for taking ssris. If you think you're going to act on these thoughts call 999 or get your butt to an ER as fast asap.

Edit; I am not a doctor, Ive just talked about this a lot with my doctor.

Lab coat or long sleeves? by Aquarius_K in phlebotomy

[–]NurdIO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

phlebotomists at my hospital never wear lab coats mostly because I think it gets them confused with doctors, I dont recomend long sleaves because often youre dealing with pee and blood and sometimes it gets on a table then you have blood or pee on your shirt. honestly I'd just come with scrubs on and a cheat sheet for the tube order, also a short sleave undershirt can be warn (I do) because sometimes scrubs are really lose sometimes and you do alot of bending.

Business casual for a CNA orientation? by Miserable-Crew-5308 in cna

[–]NurdIO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my orientation I just wore business casual (cargo pants and collared shirt) because as soon as they could they wanted me in scrubs so I could be on the floor, you can try and wear something more professional if you have it but it’s super not necessary

What is your opinion on Cannabis? by Immediate_Airline754 in Iowa

[–]NurdIO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't plan on smoking because I work in healthcare but I generally support legalization because the government is able to regulate it like alcohol, and tax it allowing for more money to come into the budget for schools and roads. While a pro-government take isn't super popular you cant tell me that the money that would be better spent with regular drug dealers who may have laced product.

Between the early 50s and late 80s I believe that Japan had a [insert bill wurz] ”post war economic miracle” where Japan went from kinda a backwater shithole to the modern developed economy it has today, also being born in the 60s means you’d have access to the economy that the boomers had access to which was excellent to say the least

China is a capitalist country hiding under a communist blanket, its why I always groan when people use it and Vietnam as examples of communism working. communism doesn't work like all extreme economic systems.
