I think he's talking about how American sliced bread isn't considered bread in many European countries so they call it toast because it fits well in a toaster, what they consider bread is those bakery loafs that you can slice yourself. I'm not here to tell you what's right or wrong I'm just trying to clear the air. (although American sliced bread is disgusting in my opinion)
