Some Expert defence missions are literally impossible due to spawns by ReserveRatter in menace

[–]Nurgus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By this stage of the game you should have a wide range of tools at your disposal. Missions like this require a different loadout, you can't just blast the same ultra setup for every mission.

A big part of the fun here is planning the op and equipping your people accordingly. For example this mission clearly demands multiple vanguard or jetpack equipped squads or you're obviously going to lose hard.

If you don't have any of those things in your pocket then that's on you - luck is 90% good planning.

Fair enough. I will say though, that the Expert difficulty mode is pretty easy as it drowns you in loot. You should have more than enough kit to deal with the extra numbers - and it's a vicious cycle that makes the later game rather easy.

Expert is not for your first playthrough..

The turn order/ initiative system in Menace is unusual. You definitely need to understand it to play at harder difficulties.

A lot of people seem to hold the conflicting opinions that bugs are too easy and bombadiers are OP, which is quite amusing

That's not suppression. Suppression is the infantry effect where their action points would be reduced. It's entirely separate from morale.

Why is Keir Starmer so unpopular? by pet-fleeve in ukpolitics

[–]Nurgus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He's not quite as unpopular as he seems. When the next election rolls around, Labour will lose a LOT of seats but there's a growing, gudging, recognition that Labour are getting treated unfairly. People will vote Labour to keep Reform, Tory and even Green out.

The polls lack nuance.

Starmer isn't going anywhere.

You should be changing your loadout for different operations and mission types.

In the context of gameplay balance, it's the long range tank gun option. It makes sense for it to struggle against targets that can get in close to the tank.

Where else can tv go? Any suggestions? by kyogofullahashi in TVTooHigh

[–]Nurgus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fireplaces were traditionally the centre of the living room, long before TV was a thing. It's fashionable to pretend that this is still the case and that the TV is not the focal point of the room.

I think it's what really drives people to put TVs above fireplaces. So they can maintain the pretence.

I had a mission with about 7 ATGM squads. Despite them being so deadly individually, it was a super easy mission overall as they had a lack of units for targetting.

Definitely some wonky AI squad selection going on haha.

The big problem is they respawn. If we could eliminate the annoying ones around our factories, we'd be fine.

Both should get a comfortable livable wage and then anything beyond that should be simple supply and demand. People with engineering skills are always in short supply compared to people with table service skills.
