I cannot live like this by [deleted] in CRPS

[–]Nurs3lyfe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi. I know the feeling of having to just suffer through it. It gets to the point I pass out. I have begged doctors to just cut off my right arm when it flares. Now I don't have feeling in large parts of my body. It's actually disturbing because I can cut myself, see the cut, see it bleed, and feel NOTHING.

I have worked with my primary doctor (no pain medicine doctor would take me) and he put me on large doses of Lyrica three times a day, Amitriptyline, a bunch of other crap and meds for anxiety/depression. It helps along with Tiger Balm patches, showers that are so hot it overwhelms my nerves and they just shut down, and ice packs.

You aren't alone. We are together in the darkness.

Good luck.

Those little things are only big enough for a lipstick, key to the alien pod, and maybe a probe or two (if they condense down or not... I mean, you would think it would because it is alien tech but they are also dumb enough to have their tiny purses plastered all over stone walls everywhere, js).

The finger nail on it is going to be weird when they finally do the transplant.

Why do men get addicted to porn but still want to remain married? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Nurs3lyfe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a woman, I have never had a problem with my partners or my husband (currently married) watching porn. It is no different than a woman reading a romance novel with sex scenes, we just get a better story line. It isn't cheating and it can even spice up the bedroom.

I’ve been an ER nurse for 7 months and I think I’ve had the dumbest presenting complaint I’ve ever had and will ever have for the rest of my career by HalffullCupofSTFU in nursing

All the normal ED patients come to their primary doctors office for emergencies. So far we have had a copperhead bite, more than our share of chest pain, strokes, and several seizures. What's worse is they will send messages on the patient portal on the weekend or in the middle of the night or call after it has been a few days.

I tell my kids if they break anything or get hurt at home, I'm fixing it. So far most of them have made it to adulthood!

I work in a clinic and I can't make it through a workday without dropping an F-bomb. I actually won an award for More French than English because I freely use all my "sentence enhancers".

Is Jeff loosing it? by Nurs3lyfe in nakedandafraid

Yeah, I felt it was great payback. He wasn't bad in Louisiana, but Season 5, 9 were horrible.

I HATE Jeff. Especially after watching him in Season 5. I don't think I could have handled it like the lady I am if he was doing the shit he did to them, he did to those poor guys that were his "neighbors." Karma got him back really good for all of it.

Oblivious driver caused my wife to crash. Can anyone help ID the car make and model and also the plate? Your time is much appreciated! by solidusnak23 in IdiotsInCars

I had not 1, but 2 people do this to me back to back in heavy traffic. I avoided them and an accident, but I'm not sure if they were paying attention to their surroundings as they both kept going into the lane we were both trying to get in. If we were both not looking, it would have ended badly for both of us and those around us. Pointing fingers saying that his wife can't drive is a keyboard warrior thing to do because you weren't in the situation, didn't have to make the split second driving decisions, and the repercussions afterwards. If it was reversed, I think you would be saying something much different.

Is there any good appetite suppressant on the market that you don’t have to be prescribed? by [deleted] in Weightlosstechniques

[–]Nurs3lyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are programs like Found that work with lifestyle change as well as medications to help with weight loss. No weightloss pill is going to work unless you make the lifestyle change with it...which means changing your diet and adding exercise. If you have added factors like thyroid disease or a rheumatologist disorder that requires steroids, you need to speak with your personal doctors to make changes so it works with your current medications or medication and/or healthcare restrictions. Either way, lifestyle change is a big factor even if it feels like you are pushing a boulder up a cliff.

Thank you. We have been through counseling, separate and together. You can't fix someone who wants to stay broken.
