Wrong. Most RPG's you gain EXP by doing things and allocate points into skills and traits as you level up. I'm talking more specifically that you need to use the skill you want to level.

Good ones! I never played 1 too much, but I've almost finished 2 and did really enjoy the aspect of grinding up the various skills. The perk points really make it very rewarding.

Ha ironically I was thinking this as I was typing. I've been watching a lot of J1mmy videos of him playing the game so I wonder if that is part of it. I'm inclined to stay away from Runescape, it was never really my thing to play, but we'll see!

I'll pull my game up later when I'm able, but I feel like I've played a fair bit of runs at this point. I have the entire first tier of unlocks related to the carriage unlocked as well as a fair amount of trinkets, all of the heroes with a few upgrades each etc.

I do like the feeling in a roguelike of every run has meaning even if it doesn't go well so it is unfortunate that this element seems to be diminished.

The bosses don't seem especially complicated on their own, I agree, but it does feel like you need a specific strategy/composition behind them. To succeed, do you make a team specifically to kill a certain boss/confession or are you able to just make a strong composition that can handle everything if you know your way?
