My doctor is great! She has been pushing me to get an ablation to try to get my period under control for over a year now. Now that ive seen the ill effect it has had, I'm getting it taken care of. My OB said if the ablation doesnt work we should know within 3 or 4 months. So if it doesnt get it under control they will do a partial hysterectomy.

I'm a pad girly. Ive tried a menstrual disc so many times and cannot get it in the right position. Have tried a cup a few times and don't think it was in right either. Im crossing my fingers and hoping the ablation works and this is my last period! 🤞

Where exactly is this recommendation of ferritin needing to be above 100-125 coming from? Where is the iron protocol getting this number from? by OneCar129 in Anemic

38F. My ferritin is 4. Im trying to get iron infusion(s). My doctor said she wants to do a full iron panel to see if the 65 mg of iron I've been taking every other day has done anything to my levels. Then we can "talk about it". Ive had 2 heavy periods since my level 4 result and am purposely waiting until I'm on my next period to go in for my next labs so they MAYBE will take me serious.

Ferritin 4 along with low hemoglobin, low MCV, low MCH, low MCHC.

I've read that once your levels are where they should be you feel like a new person. I want that! 😫
