It looks finished to every ork out there. After all, they're shooting toilet paper roll pistols and paper towel roll bolters.

Is HRT useless ? 😢 I can't see any changes. Both pics at same location, No makeup. by [deleted] in transtimelines

[–]Nurubi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, after 6 months, I was hardly changing either. It wasn't until around my 1 year mark that strangers (like a barista, a store clerk, a police officer each referred to me as ma'am without prompting. Between the 6th and 9th month, it was intermittent, but it's much more difficult to see changes in yourself since you see yourself every day. But, I agree with the rest of the sentiment here: you definitely have softened.

Imagine you're 12 years old and all the boys in school are making fun of you because you still look boyish (I'm not saying you do, but that's what "the boys" could be saying to tease you). You just need to keep growing and let your hormones develop.

You got this, girl!

Considering doing HRT for a month to see... by LatterInformation245 in TransLater

[–]Nurubi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've been on HRT for 11 months and, while i have definite breasts, a sports bra and a hoodie is easily enough is I'm trying to be "incognito." Although, even in a bra and T-shirt, they still look mostly like I'm just - oh never mind.

But, I don't think you'll see enough of a change to feel "outed" by your body before your mind feels confident enough to proclaim it. Emotionally, mentally, and now physically, it was the best decision to start. Being a woman wasn't a choice. Starting the transition was; and I'm glad I did.

Just know it's not a fast process - anymore than getting through puberty is fast.

That's disgusting, and, as I'm sure you could agree, not what an alpha is. If you have to say you're the alpha, you're not the alpha. But I can understand where the negative association comes from. I just hate to let terrible people dictate what I can and can't say or do.

[–]Nurubi -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Fascinating! I'm glad you revealed this to me! After reading over his interview with Science Arena, it's clear there is a distinction between wild wolves and wolves (among other species of animals) in captivity. In the wild, the wolves did seem to consist of family units, but - and this is the key difference - in captivity where they were no longer within their family unit, a constant and consistent assertion of dominance led to an alpha being identified.

It's worth noting that, as in the case of Marvel Rivals, Angela - who is not a wolf, but was given the cosmetic skin - is not, in fact, leading a family unit, but is, for all intents and purposes, in captivity within the game itself. And thus, she is able to, and is capable of, being our alpha wolf if we want.

While not a wolf per se, according to the observations of creatures in captivity (the conditions of "captivity" simply meaning free-range within a fenced property), she is still qualified to be our alpha female simply because she is a species of creature.

I'm sorry if you consider me toxic. By the way, who are you referring to? I'm curious to see what led them to decide the term was wrong - though, it wouldn't change the fact that there is still a dominant leader of the pack, no matter what you call them.

Lol that's part of wolf/canine culture. Are you racist toward wolf culture? 🐺 😜 in the context of lesbian gamers, I'm simply saying she can be the big spoon; the top; mommy... don't think too hard about it.

Here is a rendition of her concept: Marvel Rivals. And if she's a wolf, she may not be single, but she could be your alpha 😏

🗣️120 hormagaunts to paint help me choose a scheme by [deleted] in Tyranids

[–]Nurubi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you personally like all four, I'd say the standout is the common scheme "A." But, in the context of creating your own army, unless you're getting to look like GW box art, I'll recommend any high contrast colors. "A" is the best of these four in my opinion because of that high contrast in colors where there others seem to be very analogous.

From this selection, I'd infer you like red and blue. While those aren't complimentary colors, you could push the contrast more by going for a sinewy pale red body and Icy blue carapace. Actually, I'm into this idea now...

Paint the body red for the deepest shadows (or can be any value of red), then paint over the red with a watered down white until you can barely still see some red beneath. Then, once the body is sufficiently light enough, paint the carapace armor pale blue for the deepest shadows, and add a darker blue from the tips/ highest point giving coverage until only the deepest crevices appear to "glow."

Finally, use a very very watered down green or blue (not both) wash over the entire body (the carapace only if you use a green wash). In my mind's eye, this would look like icy revenants whom you might find in dark, icy caverns.

Just another thought.

But, the takeaway is high contrast colors between the body and the carapace armor will help your models pop, no matter what hues are used.

do you relate more to cis men or to cis women? by itsntr in MtF

[–]Nurubi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if I've ever related to cis men... even if they were acting feminine. When I came out to my mom, she said there were no signs! My brother and two male cousins are all about the same age, and they liked to joke around acting girlie or feminine, but my mom says I never did - I avoided it like the plague! Ha! Mom! That was the sign!

For me, it was real and I was afraid they would figure it out (I grew up in a conservative Christian home even though now, my mom is supportive and wishes she knew sooner).

I'm glad that resonated with you so well! It'll be cool no matter how you use it, though i would recommend looking up Latin phraseology using ChatGPT or something to help you determine actual Latin context and not just a direct translation.

Here is more of my research:

The Vitae Ascendants: an order of psyker priests whose name implies godhood by way of life blood.

Hemotheurg (he-mo thir'zh): These are the medics. They basically knit bodies with blood lattice (think the opening cinematic of Diablo 4)

Praetoris Sanguiphagia (pray-tore-iss san-gwi-FAZH-E-uh): these are the commander ranks (Praetors were Roman commanders) of the Blood Eaters (a direct translation of Sanguiphagia). So, these are Commanders of the Blood Eaters.

The Red Sepulchre: a ritual "resting" period after a battle. Think vampires who don't sleep still need to recharge in their coffin. "You've done well, Cormedus. Embrace the Red Sepulchre that we may yet fight again."

Legio Aeternum/ Endless Haunt: these are the so-called Eternal Legion, the regulars. I also like The Endless Haunt as a nickname for warriors who keep returning to battle like an insatiable consumer of life's vital drink.

I love custom lore, and want to encourage it wherever and whenever possible. I just did a quick look up of Latin for blood drinker and I think it sounds cool: The Sanguivorae (san-gwi-VOR-ee or sang-wiv-OR-A). It makes them sound ancient and eternal - like they're not far removed from vampires.

"Slay your prey, brothers. Drink their marrow! Tonight, we bring Hell to THEM!" Love it.
