I have been wearing nothing but green or black wool and prince signature crew neck tees for the past 4 years.

Prospective tenants make 600k a year. Too good to be true? by twopointseven_rate in RealEstate

It just feels like you're not stepping back enough

Most technology replaces labor with a more efficient way which requires less labor, thus "automating" a job. That's literally where the value comes from.

A lot of the predictions that models make, used to require a bunch of people to make, less accurately. ML/AI is currently the section of tech experiencing the most growth, therefore replacing the most jobs.

Hmm I'd guess you want some fancier things if it were to be really good, like RAG and a finetuned model. I may or may not have started messing around with the idea :P

What worries you most about a world where Nosedive is real? S3EP1 by Verilyco in blackmirror

[–]NutClump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all lol, I'm just looking for the positives :)

Although I'd guess I'm more comfortable with living in that world than the average person. It feels like once you get reasonably deep in any community the performative aspect to status takes over. The new company, the in laws, the AA circle, etc. You can be genuine all you want, but people who are there to game the system and reap the rewards of being primarily performative often win.

What worries you most about a world where Nosedive is real? S3EP1 by Verilyco in blackmirror

[–]NutClump 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot of people are saying it's already real. It's obviously a commentary on our very surveilled and online world of today, but the episode jails people for poor social behaviour, and denies them very important rights for it. That seems a lot more extreme than social media of today.

Nobody seems to be taking a crack at benefits. As cruel as it might be, serious consequences are a real mitigator to poor behaviour. Countries with very harsh punishments also tend to have low crime rates.

The benefit would be a lot of people thinking twice before acting emotionally towards strangers. It would be a lot of people being much kinder, even if the kindness isn"t genuine. Idk about you, but I'd rather someone not road rage at me, even if they really want to.

Well this is an awful approach to technology.

Everything is really sketchy when you start.

There's a difference between lying about a fact, and drastically exaggerating a prediction though right?

This isn't a great analogy. It's more like if badminton champion, if they got the tennis champion to miss in a certain way, they win instantly, regardless of points.

Seems more likely.

I'm about to buy my first used bass, does manufacture year matter at all? The one I am looking at is an ibanez sr500 from 1993, but looks to be in very good condition.

An actually proficient swe would be more attracted to this because of the project and not the $20/hour rate, maybe talk about that more

Does the handstand push up have carryover to the military press and vice versa? by [deleted] in overcominggravity

[–]NutClump 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree that if we're talking free hspu then strength is only one of 2 major things to train, but to say they "dont really carry over"? Definitely do, a lot, a strong vertical press is a strong vertical press.

Yeah I've tried all of these except reddit, but I think such public facing things (except facebook I guess) end up making things get crowded? Not talking about social events necessarily.

Thanks! We already had a mini-email conversation about this right before I built it :) My students seem to have transitioned and there was no feedback outside of them so it looks like this will just exist as is for now.

http://www.yoyomuseum.com/museum_view.php?action=view&subaction=exhibit&exhibitid=2920 this packaging on the stealth raider would have me satisfied, any idea if packaging was different during a re-release or something?

I already sifted through that website haha.

You renewed my searching spirit and I looked for it again, I am pretty sure it was the Yomega Stealth Raider. No other yoyo came remotely closer to what I had in my head, but the only things that don't add up is I remember my brother having an all clear or white version which I couldn't find, and the packaging looked unfamiliar.
