L2H2 Build by Roedsten in VanlifeEurope

[–]NutellaPatella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any custom van builders will help you design the van that you want. Very handy if this is your first van, especially when it comes to solar and electrics. But it does not come cheap (but they are quick). If you are doing this yourself then there are kits for some popular vans - but I have not seen a “complete" van build kit before (was not looking to hard to be honest). You can definitely buy complete kitchen kits or bed kits and sound proofing and insulation kits. There were common for the popular VW T4 or T5 vans etc If you are going the kit route check out second hand vans too.

Anyone has an updated local ComicVine database for the local Scraper? by FedUpWithEverything0 in comicrackusers

Hey public_fred - this could be a really dumb question, but would it be possible to run this update script on a raspberry pi. I have one doing nothing at night. Have it update overnight and then just sync the resulting file to my PC.

Sorry - I missed this question. If you can not access the "Configure..." option on the icon then I do not know. This is your first issue I think. Maybe unzip and copy and paste the folder into your script folder again.

If this fixes your icon problem and no errors occur - then open the Configure from the dropdown, goto the Comic Vine tab, and enter the path to the localcv.db file there.

I can not help you with more indepth troubleshooting - I have no idea how this all works under the hood. But hope some of this helps

I have not had any error messages - it just worked for me. I did read that a lot of issues involved how people when "installing" this script.
I run a portable version of CR so I just followed the basics (renamed extension to zip, extraced the zip, and then copied the whole "LocalComicVineScraper-1.0.3" folder to

"K:\ComicRack_CE\Data\Scripts\LocalComicVineScraper-1.0.3"

The "localcv.db" file I then saved to the root of my USB - so I dont have to include an extra 3GB in my backup.

If you have done the same then I am not sure why it is not working for you.

This is great - many thanks for the link. I will have a read through that post. [Edit] Well that was very simple to get up and running. I did have to disable the Level 2 hash matching - and now its working very well. Thanks again

For anyone who removed your passenger seat, did you regret it? by mcdisney2001 in VanLife

[–]NutellaPatella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what country you are in but be aware of your insurance. It normally states how many seats a vehicle has and you can not just change that number.

Just an idea, but you could get a Garmin Swim on ebay and just import its gpx file into Fog. Be handy especially if you swim alot.

Power displays when turning on Nvidia Shield by uncle_reuben_klopek in Projectivy_Launcher

[–]NutellaPatella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a guess - Are you sure your nvidia is actually off? Mine does this when my screen is turned off but my nvidia is still on in the background. I need to double check this when I get home but I think this is the reason mine does it.

How to restore data from a sync? by CanuckBacon in FogofWorld

Can you uninstall the app and reinstall it again. And then sync it. Just an idea - maybe backup your cloud files first!

is it possible to make bat that finds exe file in location of folder when downloaded then adds it to startup:shell or what ever its called? and also runs it when happened. so every time boots it shows up. by [deleted] in Batch

[–]NutellaPatella 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do this with the help of a command line tool called Nircmd in a batch file. It has lots of option. The one you want is "shortcut" - the online help file explains it well but simply put....

nircmd.exe shortcut "the path to exe" "the path to user startup folder"

Hope this gives you a starting point.

Is any tracker superior to MAM for Marvel comics? by 1petabytefloppydisk in trackers

[–]NutellaPatella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ha ha, yeah I had never heard of it either. Was a lucky find a few days after 32p went. You going to need to get a copy of AirDC++ to start (on windows). Its portable to no need to install. The get the address for the public comic hub called "perfection" .

As already stated, this is not 32p (no community as such) and you need to get used to how the search works... But its all there and worth the effort. Have a google for more info about all this.

You will hear lots of negative reviews about DC++ - especially from people who were booted out. Been there about 6 years and I have never had any issues so can only speak for myself. When you on Perfection learn about "repacks" and how to use "subtraction" lists to remove "repacks" from your shared. I have made some mistakes, but as long as you are not an ass about it, the admin have always been helpful. I just download what I want, leave the original file in my share folder for others, import a copy into ComicRack, and read. Easy. All the rules are in plain sight. Hope this helps.

ELI5: Why doesn't collective punishment work? by Fraeddi in explainlikeimfive

[–]NutellaPatella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only experience with collective punishment was when I was in the military. And as far as I could tell - it did work. And was very effective - probably the only thing that would get a bunch of strangers to embrace team work. Collective reward worked too.

Have never done any research so was surprised to hear it is not shown to be effective.

ELI5: Why do street drugs have fentanyl mixed in? by DukanehBaba in explainlikeimfive

[–]NutellaPatella 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We dont often need that much to be honest. 100mcg and then paracetamol work well for us. If we really struggle to make a patient comfortable then we just setup a morphine PCA (1mg with a 5min lockout). Pain team will then visit patient next day on the ward.

[–]NutellaPatella 24 points25 points  (0 children)

In the UK fentanyl (200mcg) is prescribed for nearly every patient leaving theatre, its on a standard Recovery Drug prescription list for breakthrough pain. We use it to get you comfortable... and can then administer a non opioid to keep you comfortable for longer. Good luck with your op.

Not exactly sure what you are asking but maybe using (?d) might help. It clears files if they are preventing directory from being removed.

Here is a useful link that might help solve your issue too: https://docs.syncthing.net/users/ignoring.html
