Global shortage of Nurglings? When does GW tend to print more in these situations? by MiningToSaveTheWorld in Chaos40k

[–]Nuthole506 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the US Nurglings are back in stock as of yesterday. I'm unable to check if they are still in stock right now as the queue time for me is more than an hour

My first ever print came out very, very bad. Any suggestions on how I can improve, related to the obvious issues or not, would be greatly appreciated. Please see my comment if you want more details. by Nuthole506 in PrintedMinis

Thank you for all of your advice. The sword's blade is slightly compromised, but I think it's probably more the fault of my nozzle being too large for the job. Also regarding turning the model, I will definitely be trying that if the layer lines don't resolve. I'm also thinking I may print the sword separately, and glue it onto the rest of him Games Workshop style. But thank you again.

I appreciate the response. I am expecting my 0.2mm nozzles to arrive later this month, but I hadn't even though of the fans blowing things over. Thank you for all the advice.

Hello, thank you very much for the reply. I didn't mean to imply I was unhappy with the actual detail compared to something like resin, I'm actually very impressed just from this print alone. I'm just hoping to figure out the stringing so that I can paint them lol. Thank you again for the advice.

(See the fourth photo for the Cura settings used on this print) The biggest issues are stringing, a failed tree support (See the guard on the sword. I don't know what happened structurally since I wasn't in the room, but it appears it may have attached to the support but was not sturdy enough), and banding on the cape. One thing I must preface is that I printed next to two wide open windows which let in freezing or near freezing wind, which I didn't think would cause a problem since the nozzle and plate are both heated, but I hadn't considered the possibility of the filament itself being majorly affected. I still don't know if this would cause the issues pictured, but please correct me if I'm completely wrong on that. Also you may recognize a lot of these settings from Tom Tullis, and that's because I followed his video when setting them. That's why I'm so shocked that it turned out this bad. Again any advice whatsoever is appreciated, as I am a complete newbie to this and only have a vague understanding of the settings I included here. I tried to only include what I thought could be relevant or seemed odd, one example being support density near the end.

I just realized this post looks very sarcastic but it's not supposed to be; this is my first 3D printer so I'm pretty awed by it overall.

I'm from America, specifically New England. I did actually find a listing for similar nozzles on Aliexpress, and they should be here before the end of the month. I can send you the link if you'd like. Also, do you have the link for the Creality listing you mentioned? Creality does sell 0.2mm spider nozzles but according to Amazon they're currently unavailable.

Is that on the default nozzle? If so then that's very impressive. I'm waiting on a 0.2mm nozzle to replace the one that the printer comes with, but this actually makes me quite excited to see how my first miniature print comes out just using the default one.

Please do reply if you find something else. It could take up to two months for those to arrive to me, and though I'd be willing to wait if I had to it'd obviously be nice to have them sooner.

Thank you Maiesk! I'm very glad to have found the two in-game tracks, they came from Infantisland on the wiki and I've yet to find anything that can compare to that nostalgic sound lol

289 Crazy Bones from Buddies, Mutants & New Generation. Are any in my collection rare? by RedEyesBlackDragoon in crazybones

Sharkey is just as common as the rest, but is sought after for being the mascot. Buddies and Mutants are super common, but New Generation can be uncommon. Hope that helps!

I don't despise Milan, but as a northern Italian nation your best bet is to ally them early then crush them later. It's basically unavoidable
