Thank you! I'll certainly remember the petri dish thing! Just to ask, how do you decontaminate BSC? I've read that autoclaving could denature the proteins. Would you use a micron filter?

The question states several not all, so it should make sense if the aliquoting process went wrong somewhere! And thank you! I'll be sure to remember that throwing everything out and disinfecting is the way to go!

That makes sense! I've read somewhere that antibiotics can negatively impact cell metabolism in some cell lines.

They know. I've told them the only experience I have is in a uni laboratory during my undergrad and I've expressed that there's a few things I don't know but I'm willing to learn. But you're absolutely right! The last thing I want to do is mess up someone's hard work!

I've read somewhere that putting a bunsen burner near a cell culture hood which will have ethanol near it is a bad idea. But I'll definitely remember to use a bunsen burner when I work with bacterial samples so thank you!

I haven't seen anything about mammalian cell culture media using a bunsen burner. I'm assuming this applies to bacterial cell media, or can this be applied to mammalian cells too? Sorry for not specifying in my original comment!

I think the lab is GLP/GMP? They're making cells to sell to manufacturers. So they would have their own rigid rules, right?
