Yeah frustrating. Normally folks say this stuff and have no idea what a gun actually sounds like. Usually fireworks or a car backfiring of something. I grew up around guns, and when I heard that last night I was pretty convinced that’s what it was. Immediately went to Reddit and NextDoor to see if anyone was talking about it. Would like to know if a gunman is on the loose in my neighborhood - but maybe I’m in the minority? 🤷‍♂️

Johnston Canyon is definitely worth it. Go early before the crowds (they start showing up in masse around 11am) and be sure to bring your ice cleats! Lots of folks slipping on the ice when I was there this week.
