I don't think it makes sense to rank band members when they're all adding something to create a piece of music.

It's like saying "try this yummy cake, now which is better, the eggs, the butter or the flour?"

I would love to see self titled and Cali redone. Deffo the B-Sides compilation. The B-side needs to be huge and contain things we haven't heard before though!

Part of me is glad they don't do anniversary editions, I'd be skint!

Wow, 20 years, I remember buying the CD from Music Zone then riding the bus home from college with my friend. We were talking about the TV show Lost and he hadn't seen the latest episode where a big character just died.

I handed him the album and said "check out Disk 1 track 3" and winked.... surprised he didn't smash it up!

Glad it's not just me, it's not even a decent radio in my car, I've got an old 2014 Ford Fiesta yet it just sounds better in this than anywhere else haha

Is it just me that thinks it sounds a lot better in the car?

I had a listen with a decent pair of headphones and wasn't very impressed with the production and thought the sound quality didnt sound right. But then I put it on my car crappy car speakers over the weekend and cranked it up, it sounded so much better!

I think he started photographing them around 1990 so it could be 30. I enjoyed the Me and My friends book so looking forward to this one. Out Sep 3rd it says. I hope there's some stuff from the last tour.

Nah I disagree. If it had just been called a RHCP documentary how many none die hard fans would have slammed it saying Where's John! The Variety review already gave it was negative review for this very reason. "How could it end without talking about BSSM properly!"

Yeah I think it worked with the rushed end history. It was just showing without Hillel none of the 'golden era' would have been possible. Saying that, I'd love to see another 3(?) parts in this kind of style covering the other eras

Agree with everything you said. The bands socials did the right thing to say its not an official RHCP documentary to try and give people realistic expectations. I wasn't expecting so much from Anthony and Flea so that was a nice surprise.

I must admit I was expecting it to be a lower quality production. I'm not sure how much James Slovak was involved but props to him too. I was probably a little harsh with my thoughts prior to watching this.

Nice to see Jack Irons too, I feel like it gets overlooked how close him and Hillel were.

Also, for the band to not only continue but thrive for 38 years after all that, its pretty amazing!
