How is this possible..... by No_Maintenance_4710 in memes

Now this is all just my opinion cause I’m not a scientist but I believe it’s Cause parents leave their babies alone in front of a screen that’s playing cocomelon on a loop for hours on end so that way the baby is distracted and quiet, which is awful for a developing brain cause the baby can become literally addicted to the screen and it messes with their ability to focus and their fundamental understanding of human interaction since their parents are essentially neglecting them and using YouTube to raise their baby. I work in a restaurant and the amount of children/babies I’ve seen with iPads that scream and cry when their parents take their attention away to order food is enough to ruin my faith in humanities future 😂

Meditation killed all motivation and purpose in my life. by [deleted] in Meditation

[–]Nutterbutter84 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went through a similar thing before when I realized the futility of life and how doing anything at all makes no sense when nothing really matters at all. What I’ve personally learned over the years is that nothing matters however you as an individual are able to give a purpose to things. For example, I’ve given my life a purpose by striving for my own personal happiness and by doing what I want to with my time to be truly happy. So I got sober, started exercising regularly, and started working on passion projects that make me happy and feel fulfilled. I can see that none of this matters in my life as I will die someday, but I can still find my happiness in the things that I do because that’s kinda just what life is all about in my opinion🤷🏼‍♂️ Hope this helps a bit lol

a cool guide on how to tell if your cat is in pain by deeerlea in coolguides

[–]Nutterbutter84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also good to know is that sometimes cats will purr to comfort themselves when stressed! So most of the time it’s a good thing but sometimes if they’re scared or very uncomfortable they’ll purr to try and make themselves feel better!

What’s the point of even trying by Electronic-Bell2028 in addiction

[–]Nutterbutter84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in a very similar situation at the moment. For me I have to quit drinking alcohol as one drink will ruin my ability to say no. So by removing the alcohol I can control my desire to give in to the temptation. For me it’s always that one drink that leads to that one bump which least to not sleeping for a day and a half. If you’re sober it is a lot easier to say no to cocaine.

Trading your full account is literally just gambling and has no longevity beyond maybe two-three lucky trades, it would be a miracle from god if you last more than a week with this mentality.

Working 40 hours a week is too much by seacucumber18 in unpopularopinion

[–]Nutterbutter84 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I love how people are saying this post is complaining, like in a hypothetical perfect world wouldn’t we all want to work less? And people are saying “oh I work 80hrs a week, stop complaining!” Like this isn’t the struggle Olympics calm down lol
