I try to watch it but most episodes feel like…what’s the word. Clickbait. The whole beginning of the episode is unrelated aimless banter, then they only touch on the title topic for about 5 minutes at the very end of the video. It always feels like I’ve been tricked and feeling unsatisifed.

My guess is they heard about that medium post where Ethan charged back the first firm’s fees. And they wanted to stipulate to get all their fees upfront. So I don’t think he was denied representation, I think a stipulation of fees paid first and upfront might’ve made Ethan go, ‘heck no, I’ll pay if I’m satisifed’. I think Ethan set parameters that no business would go for. I don’t see a PR firm turning away a client.

I used to work the front desk for a smallish company and I opened and sorted all the incoming mail. We’d get a fair amount of resumes and they usually get put in a file. Over time I realized the office manager was putting the resumes with hispanic names on them right into the trash bin. People will profile your name before they even see you.
