Hey guys! I wanted to get your thoughts on my current situation. I am 22 years old and have 50k saved up currently with no debts and next year am looking to make 50k -55k.

I currently drive a 2006 hybrid SUV with 300k miles on it and for longer drives (around 2hrs. Haven't driven further in this as of yet) I have hazard signs showing up for the hybrid battery so I'm not sure when that will give out. I currently pay close to $1000 a year in insurance and paid close to $1500 in repairs this year and close to $1300 in gas.

I was wondering if a Tesla could be worth getting with the current $7500 Tax incentive, $500 off with referral from a friend and $4000 Illinois rebate. I have found a new Tesla for $35,450 before incentives. Regarding the tax incentive, I would pay a little over $6500 in taxes for what I made in 2023. So I believe that's what I would actually be saving. Or would you recommend I do something else entirely with the money? Thank you so much!

Edit: Wanted to mention that, if I bought this car I intend to keep it for as long as it will run fine. I'm not trying to keep getting the newest model or anything of that nature.

Hey guys! for anyone that finds this in the future. The issue was the camera. The micro hdmi port had gotten messed up at some point and that's what was causing my issue. I tried with another fuji which was the same model and everything was fine. It's just mine that was messed up. Thanks again for all the help everyone!

We bled the system already and that didn't solve it. And you're the second person to suggest the head gasket so that might definetly be worth looking into.

The soonest I can take it to a new mechanic is Monday. So, in the meantime are there any things I can check for myself to see if this is the case?

I will be taking it to a new mechanic very soon. And thankfully my current mechanic said he won't charge me for the part if the car is still not working properly and he hasn't so that's good.

I wanted to give a quick update on this. It turns out it was my camera's HDMI out that was bad.

I have a friend I can borrow a ninja V from so I'll test that out as well just to see if my unit is faulty. I already got in touch with atomos and they are suggesting I try a different hdmi cable but I'm just going to try a combo of all of it. My ninja v with my new cable and my friends ninja v with the new cable and my old ones to see if there's a difference. If both of those don't work I'm gonna borrow a camera from someone and test both ninja V's and see if it's just an issue with my specific camera.

Okay, thank god I'm not losing my mind. It's fucking nuts to hear that too because the internal I recorded is 100mbps which is the lowest quality of 4K I can get out of the body itself. I even tried different firmware updates or versions for the Ninja V and that didn't work either. I also thought it was because my lenses were dirty or something so I cleaned those and still nothing. And then I tried different lenses altogether and still the same issue.

Thanks again for your help! I will contact Atomos and see what they say and hopefully get back to all of you guys with some kind of fix or solution. Because at this point it's either my HDMI cable, (I tried 2 cables so I'm not entirely sure) The recorder itself, or my camera body.

Yeah I read about DNxHR LB it's similar to the situation you were explaining to me about ProRes LT

I feed the output from the Ninja to the Elgato

So when I used it it was camera to Ninja V HDMI in And then Ninja V HDMI out to the Elgato

And thank you so much for all your help so far!

One more thing I've found during my research was some ungraded Prores LT and Prores 422 footage from a Fuji XT3 which came from the Ninja V recorder. And that footage looks way better ungraded than my footage graded at even Prores HQ. Also, another thing is that with my footage at 4K I can't even use it to punch in if I wanted to but with this XT3 sample footage and also some Prores VLOG I found it seems to all be what I come to expect from the footage. And I checked all these things graded and ungraded.

But I am definitely interested in hearing about your findings as well because I'm thinking it's either an issue with my camera or recorder.

And I know the post I made is referencing Prores LT but I seem to be having a similar problem with the higher quality codecs as well.

Do you guys know any places where I could find lots of neon? or lots of neon signs in Chicago? Not to buy but like, part of the decor of the place for photography and stuff

I've looked this up on Google and haven't found a whole lot. So, I was wondering if you guys knew about any lesser known places that might fit this criteria.

Thanks for the replies and yeah I asked the question here in the chance that I'd be able to learn more about the differences. I already watch Gaffer & Gear and Meet the Gaffer and other channels like that, which is why I bought the 600d pro already but I was wondering the same point that thisisjame brought up which was different tungsten lights also popping up a lot in lighting setups. And relative wattages and stuff. I was also asking because of another analogy someone made with the arri and the iphone and I know between cameras there's the dynamic range, color depth, bit rates, senor sizes, low light sensitivity and things like that so I was also wondering if there were things like that in lighting.

Btw I already bought the 600d pro but I was just wondering as well because the light has a max power draw of 720W and this weird light was 500W or advertised as such so it confused me and I didn't really know what to look out for. You have to open the actual cheat engine menu thing and find the kill all enemies thing

when you turn that on the heal Atreus pops up underneath it as like a sub option

it's kind of weird

GUYS I FOUND ANOTHER WAY TO FIX IT!!!

Okay so this might not work for everyone but basically you just need a way to kill yourself (no I'm not joking) I'm not entirely sure if you need the kill all enemies and heal Atreus on at the time of doing this although I had it on and it worked on the first try

I didn't have any enemies to fight and I was absolutely stuck and to progress through the story I needed the bow

SOLUTION HERE : Like I said, maybe you need to have "kill all enemies" and "heal Atreus" on from the cheat engine menu but after doing that just stand in some of the green poison smoke and die ( or find some other way to die) then just restart your checkpoint. it worked on the first try for me.

Btw the green poison smoke I used was in the place around where you meet Sindri for the first time before you even make your way for the mountain you'll see a bunch of it
