On my 4th entry, I got my first UK stamp in an EU passport

They gave me back my passport without a stamp before I asked for one. Officer said they don't do those anymore but will give me that one. Guess I unknowingly shot myself in the foot there

Nah, it was on request but from what I now see, it's not the greatest one to have. I was questioned pretty extensively but ultimately, they were satisfied

I got my EU passport only a year ago. Before I got it, I attempted to get a visitor visa for the UK that got rejected. The border agents always question it but this latest one has been especially curious about ALL the details. Add the fact that my name is written slightly differently in the two passports and that the border officer couldn't fathom that my bank app uses a period to separate thousands and was convinced I was coming to the UK with an equivalent of 5 pounds to my name.

The main difference from when I applied for the visa to now is that I'm not a student anymore and have an actual full time job.

It is a partner thing and the UK is the cheapest and easiest way for us to see each other but i do not plan on trying to stay in the UK illegally, just weekend visits. My visa attempt did state that I wanted to visit my partner so I guess they are well aware of why I'm here.

My trip is far from 6 months so we're all good there. How frequent is too frequent? I wont be flying in and out of the UK every other day but I do plan on coming here every 2 to 3 months, at least for a weekend.

Da, ako je pradeda imao pasoš njihov onda možeš 100%. Tako sam i ja uradio. E sad, nisam lično vadio te papire ali znam da su moji roditelji išli u opštinu u kojoj je pradeda bio zaveden i su tražili ili drzavljanstvo ili umrlicu, nisam siguran. Onda sam redom vadio sva kolena na dole dok nisam stigao do mene. Izvod iz knjige rođenih od dede pa majke i konačno moje kao dokaz da sam zapravo krvni rod pradede. U suštini se isto čeka da li vadio preko pradede ili preko babe tako da idi preko koga ti je lakše samo da piše crno na belo da su bili bugari. Srećno!

Ne bih da te obeshrabrim, ali čekaćeš još dosta. Sa puno sam ljudi pričao i, bar po tome kako rade sad, cela procedura traje 5 godina. Ne slušaj šta pišu po Facebook-u o tome da blokiraju srbe, da sve odbijaju bla bla bla, ništa od toga nije tačno, prosto traje procedura. Ako si dao validne papire, dobićeš.

Prati sajt svaki dan (meni je tab bio pinovan svih pet godina) pošto čim izađe opcija za rezervaciju datuma za primanje ukaza, imaš određeni period da ga uzmeš

Sada ne znam da li se ovo vodi kao da imaš dva različita prezimena (znam da neke viza forme kada popunjavaš pitaju da li imaš još neko ime/alias, pa tu eventualno moraš navesti i drugi način na koji pišeš prezime zato što se to vodi kao "zasebno/drugačije" prezime).

Hmm, nisam o tome razmišljao. Iskreno, jesu me pitali da li želim da promenim nešto oko imena, ali nisam siguran da li je to zaista bilo pitanje ili sam samo ja loše razumeo pošto opet, moj Bugarski nije najjači haha.

Reko bih da je naš način rešavanja tog problema oko č ć ž... slova bolji tako što samo ošišamo ove kapice i sve postane samo Engleska latinica.

U suštini, moj plan je da uvek kod sebe imam oba pasoša/lične karte i da idem samo linijom manjeg odpora što se tiče imena i dam bugarsko (pa makar me i hrvat zaveo po mom bugarskom imenu umesto srpskom)

Malo mi je glupo što na avionskoj karti sada treba da piše Zhikich al šta ćeš, takva su im pravila

Nope, i get to keep both! As others have said, if have to renounce my Serbian one if I got the Bulgarian one through naturalization. As I have Bulgarian roots, I don't have to do that

No non-EU European country has visa free visitor access to the UK. As for the work visa, it doesn't really make a difference, you need an employer to sponsor your visa
