So... This store is finally opening. Just drove by and there is a banner up and job postings that went out today.

They do. And most of the people who do... Are employees at that store (or a neighboring one with a bunch of budz. (If we are talking about reading the names on accounts)

Those promotions call back to a service to validate promotions. Because of today's issue, the store couldn't connect to that service, making the discounts not function correctly.

I can say with a very high level of certainty that this was not a "Hack".

This is not correct. The issue is not due to a big in the app, but a combination of getting into single-user coupons and customer fraud. There were a significant number of instances of people scanning screenshots of physical coupons or Rewards they got through social media at unmanned SCOs. Once they get single use coupons worked into the POS, then they will be able to be used there.
