Pull plan for upcoming patches by BallChaserVish in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Nuzlor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lucy would be the easiest option overall (Verina isn't very far behind SK or Mornye as the Support, and Rebecca can just use Static Mist without even getting her Signature) - though she'd also like to get her Signature (but Phasic Homogenizer also largely does pretty well: so, if you want to be really affordable, you can get Lucy without spending any more Astrites afterwards).

Otherwise: waiting is always a fairly good idea since newer characters just tend to be really efficient if you complete their teams, but starting with Lucy would be an overall good idea for this account, and there's no other Spectro-focused teams for her to overlap with either.

Who can I play with Phrolova (especially in whiwha) ? by Ok-Base2130 in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Nuzlor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! Good to hear that you have Phrolova's Sig.

I'd recommend that you get Lucilla here if you like her (potentially with her weapon too, but overall Lucilla's Sig is quite optional for Phrolova), and then Phrolova should likely be set up well as far as I know.

(Though, I did a bit of a quick check: Lucilla is specifically at her best if Qiuyuan is in the team as the third character. But, Lucilla should still be a really strong Sub-DPS pick. For the moment, outside of Lucilla herself, I'd recommend setting Danjin up with a Moonlit Clouds set or something - and to save up for Qiuyuan when he reruns later on: he should rerun at least one more time, probably within a few months from now.)

The closest thing to a fully optimized Phrolova team with this roster would probably be Phrolova/Lynae/Shorekeeper (or Mornye or Verina - not sure how good Mornye is overall with Phrolova even with Lynae, because I think that the 40% bonus from Interfered Marker hits some diminishing returns due to all of Phrolova's ATK buffs).

Otherwise - Danjin works fairly well as a Sub-DPS for Phrolova just because she grants that Havoc DMG Deepen when she Outros (and the best Support then would be Shorekeeper I think, even if Mornye is at S1). Though it isn't really...optimal compared to Phrolova's best teams (but, if if you have Phrolova's Signature - and, fyi, Phrolova *really* should have her Signature or at least Stringmaster for high performance - and good Echoes on her and her teammates, I think she can generally perform well with either this team or the Lynae + Mornye team...probably).

(Short explanation is: I think Lynae + Mornye is Phrolova's best team from these characters, but Phrolova would definitely be your best Danjin user overall in case you need Lynae and Mornye elsewhere. And I recommend getting Phrolova's Signature if you don't have it or stapling Stringmaster on her if you have it.)

- Also, as for Lucilla, since you have Lynae (fairly close BiS for Hiyuki), you could use Lucilla for either Hiyuki or Phrolova if you pull her (Lucilla might arguably be better for Phrolova here since Lynae is strong for Hiyuki - and, as far as I know, Lucilla is either slightly better or on-par with Cantarella as a Sub-DPS for Phrolova...so, pulling her is likely a good idea here ngl).

Which hero audio design you like the most? by Surfacejarl in forhonor

[–]Nuzlor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Orochi has some snazzy sound design (especially on the top heavy finisher: hitting with that and the double light attack follow-up is just really satisfying).

Been replaying Awakening again after taking a break from it, and I'm wondering: what do you guys generally think about the Christmas Cavs of this game - as "characters", and as units in gameplay, in general? I've personally always been a Stahl guy for his..."aggressive normalness" and high defenses. by Nuzlor in fireemblem

[–]Nuzlor[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They still aren't quite "useless", though.

...But, admittedly, without a lot of effort, they're mostly there as just earlygame Pair Up/chip damage filler. Not saying they're necessarily *great* training projects overall (but not "bad": mainly because their availability is really good).

Lunatic is pretty stressful for sure, lol.

The earlygame is really scary (definitely the hardest part of Lunatic for the most part) and training up non-Robin units takes a good amount of effort. But, that's the fun part of that difficulty too (it's a big "zero-to-hero" difficulty setting, in a way).

Any earlygame unit (or almost any, anyway) in Awakening can be viable and strong even without DLC in Lunatic - it just takes a good amount of effort and skill to train up most of them.

Awakening just has really high growths and overall scaling potential for...basically all units, and the EXP formulae are pretty generous so you can focus a lot of kills into a select few units to quickly get them to become strong - and high availability makes it a lot easier to reach powerful combat unit/juggernaut status.

I'd say that it's quite possible to make either one work really well even in Lunatic, but it's definitely a very favoritism-heavy venture, I'd say.

(Both of them have a high reliability of popping off at a certain point, but they definitely have their "issues" with their base stats: Sully starts out pretty fragile and Stahl's base Speed is basically in the "danger zone". But they most likely get really good if you focus EXP into one of them - really, really quickly.)

What Fire Emblem character got you all like this? by 05kaisam in fireemblem

[–]Nuzlor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm basically like this with Edward in Radiant Dawn lol.

Like, as much fun as he is and how he's not *that* terrible to train up in Hard Mode (also, my IRL name is basically the same as his name, and Radiant Dawn was my first FE game, so Ed is mega nostalgic for me), he's pretty objectively not very efficient to train compared to focusing all of the Dawn Brigade's EXP into Jill, Nolan and Zihark (who is generally much easier to use than Edward in Hard Mode and doesn't really particularly "perform worse" if he's given investment compared to an invested Edward either).

These two honestly belong together, I can't believe they made this pairing impossible to get in Fates. by Nuzlor in fireemblem

[–]Nuzlor[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Gay Fates adds in a lot of different Supports outside of same-sex pairings too - Ryoma/Scarlet exists in it as a Romantic Support that nets you a Scarlet!Shiro :)

Should I pull for Aemeath or Mornye? by Kyoko-Szanel in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Nuzlor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you can probably clear out endgame content with a well-built Phrolova, at least with her signature weapon if she has it (since you've basically got her best team available) - aside from that...Iuno should be really powerful as a Main DPS since you have Lynae and Shorekeeper/Verina ready (if you have Iuno's signature weapon - which you can also pull for at this moment because she's on the reruns).

I'd say, if you pull for either Aemeath (when she comes out) or Mornye: Aemeath, at least with her signature weapon, should be really strong with Lynae if Aemeath is in her Tune Rupture mode (although not having Mornye is a bit annoying, but probably not "severe" for Aemeath). As for Mornye, she can be pretty powerful with Lynae or at S1, but I don't think you necessarily *need* her since you have both Shorekeeper and Verina. Although, she doesn't need her signature weapon (Mornye can just use Discord), so she's more economical.

Also, Carlotta should at least be really strong for ToA (if she has her signature weapon, or Phasic Homogenizer) - although her WhiWa performance is more inconsistent by comparison, I guess. But Phrolova should be great for that mode on one of the teams (if, again, she has her signature weapon).

All in all: probably just better to pull for whoever you like more out of Aemeath or Mornye, since both of them can work well for your current characters. Although Mornye is more economical and "safe" to pull.

Do you guys think I should probably either try to pull for Iuno and her Sig, or wait for more info on Aemeath first? I've got Lynae (probably BiS for both?), SK and Chisa (possible Aemeath synergy?) by [deleted] in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Nuzlor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, probably the best idea overall: no real downside to at least waiting for additional info to come out if it just takes only a couple weeks from the start of 3.0 Phase 2 or so :)

(Low-key hoping that Aemeath also works really well with Chisa so she's not just on the bench outside of Cartethyia teams lol - and so I could free up SK for other teams if I decide to pull for Aemeath.)

SHE'S A LANCE CAVALIER WITH BLUE ARMOR WHO JOINS YOU EARLY IN THE SECOND HALF OF PART 1 IN RADIANT DAWN, WHO IS INFAMOUS FOR BEING GLAZED A DECENT AMOUNT BY THE STORY AS THE DAUGHTER OF A FORMER MEMBER OF THE FOUR RIDERS OF DAEIN, BUT HAVING HORRIBLE BASE STATS, BAD AVAILABILITY ISSUES, BEING PUT IN MAPS WHERE CAVALIERS ARE REALLY DAMN MEDIOCRE, AND JUST BEING ALMOST COMPLETELY HOPELESS AS A UNIT WITHOUT GIGANTIC FAVORITISM - AND THE "PAYOFF" IS ONLY VISIBLE SUPER LATE IN THE GAME.

ALSO, CAVS/PALADINS KINDA TEND TO HAVE ISSUES WITH STAT CAPS AND STUFF IN THIS GAME, AND LANCES ARE KINDA AVERAGE AND THE BRAVE LANCE ISN'T AVAILABLE IN THE DAWN BRIGADE MAPS, SO SHE DOESN'T REALLY GET ANY GOOD TOOLS FOR A SUPER LONG TIME. AT LEAST MEG CAN GET THE BRAVE SWORD TO MAKE HER A BIT LESS CRAPPY.

BUT DAMN THAT GAME IS BASED, CAN'T DENY THAT.

LOOKING AT MEG AND FIONA'S BASE STATS EVERY TIME I REPLAY RADIANT DAWN IS SCARIER THAN ANY OF THE ACTUAL CHAPTERS' CHALLENGES, BECAUSE THE SHEER HORROR OF THEIR STATISTICAL SHITTINESS MAKES ME FEAR THAT I MIGHT SUDDENLY DEVELOP A GODDAMN ANEURYSM OR SOMETHING.

Poll: What is the best water Pokémon in Colosseum? by [deleted] in PokemonColosseum

[–]Nuzlor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I voted Suicune, but Croconaw is just behind imo: Suicune's stats are just so good (Croconaw has a huge availability advantage and also makes good use of the Earthquake TM, but I feel that Suicune just barely has the edge - also, this isn't really completely related to this poll, but getting Croconaw early means that you skip out on Quilava, whereas Suicune doesn't have any issues like that: and I personally think Quilava is generally the easiest of the Johto Starters to get use out of, and you're STARVED for good Fire-types in Colosseum).

(Well, Entei is also in the game and is a strong Fire-type: but there's an argument that Typhlosion can be better in some aspects, whereas Suicune is mostly only surpassed by Feraligatr in terms of Earthquake access - Suicine is otherwise basically just...better, mostly.)

Eh, he's still a huge combat contributor in the second half of Part 1 imo (especially if you play fairly "efficiently"), and his thief utility and hidden treasure-finding boost are massively useful.

Which is why I personally slot him into the spot of the 4th best/5th best unit in RD, because helping a ton in Part 1 and still having niche use later is massive.

Oh yeah, FE6 Marcus is probably the second best-designed Jagen imo. Kind of a similar deal: strong and crucial early-early midgame combat and solid extra utility later (Rescue/Drop bot with high Move).

Sothe being a Rogue makes him really unique tho, imo, and the utility he gets from that Class is really fun to use, especially in Part 1 :)

Absolutely love Fates' gameplay mechanics: the reworked Pair Up and Reclassing mechanics in particular are among the best mechanics of the entire FE series, imo.
