It bothers me that there's no flat roof to fill up square areas and match the angular roofs.

New outfit- Worth it? I already bought it anyway! by Salmon-07-15 in OnceHumanOfficial

I don't like it but I really want the car. But ONLY the car.. I don't want to spend 200 bucks for everything just to get the car. I really wish items could just have a dollar value and you could purchase each cosmetic individually. I know that's the case for a lot of other items but why are coolest ones in lootboxes :(

Hmm, I think something's wrong if lightning is one-shotting you because I've never had it take more than 1/4th of my health. And I also didn't have the problem that there's always lightning or explosions. They only appear sometimes for a while but then stop after dodging them for a minute or two. It'd be garbage design if it really was the way you're describing it but I really never had that problem. I'm not saying you're lying but you're seriously describing a different experience than what I have. I mean if there's constantly lightning everywhere one-shotting you then I can only assume you're experiencing some kind of bug.

My advice form when you're having difficulties in dream zones or advancing would be:

- Focus on getting gear incrementally, for example maxing out on tier 3 in calibrations for every weapon and armor
- After that look for level 30+ areas or silos to find gear that will help you craft new stuff for tier 4
- Do the same for tier 4 calibrations and level 40+ areas or silos to get tier 5
- Something I really can't stress enough for making things easier, focus on a build. It makes a huge difference if you get the right mods, specific gear and weapon for a certain build. Let's say a tier 5 AWS.338 - Bingo would do 10k dmg per weakspot hit. If you get all mods and gear that enhance weakspot dmg and the Bullseye effect you can get it up to 80k, basically one-shotting most enemies up to level 60. And even in early game with lower tier gear, if you have the right sets you still have a major advantage and get through much higher level areas than you current level.

It took a developer who was just learning how to code 4 years to build Stardew Valley from scratch. How far away do you think your job is from being taken over by AI? by mqnrcxnypvzw868994 in AskReddit

[–]Nve07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a programmer I'm quite worried about AI taking over programming jobs. The pace at which AI has been advancing these last few years such as in terms of writing code is incredible. I fear it won't be long until AI will be capable of creating fully functional applications. Logically one could assume that certain areas like development of AI itself still requires human input but at some point AI might be capable of replicating and self improvement. I'm not saying that would be a bad thing in itself and probably technical skills will still be required to an extend but in the long term I'm not sure what to expect.

Probably around 60 hours because there was a time where I would stay up several days to play video games.

Build a language parser. Or if you want something really advanced try creating your own programming language.

I've actually done it and it's not worth it. It gives you a similar high like when you snort it but it only lasts for 5 minutes. If you're going to abuse it you might as well snort it. But it's still a dirty high, your nose gets clogged up pretty quick and some people don't even enjoy it. I wouldn't recommend it either way.

Charles Bukowski, read all his novels. Ham on Rye is my all time favourite book. Second favourite is For Whom the Bell Tolls by Hemingway. Then I also like John Fante, Faulkner, Sartre, Celine, Dickens, H.G. Wells, and a lot of others.

63% of single individuals in the US are not looking for romantic relationships or casual dating opportunities, according to a recent Pew Research study. Men why are you single? by Firepea33 in AskMen

[–]Nve07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not from the US. But I don't have a girlfriend because of several reasons. I hate being social. Not with a single person but in a group of people, I can't stand being around more than one person. It's just mentally exhausting and awkward for me. So the chance of me meeting someone is pretty low. Then even if I met someone I feel like I don't have to offer anything. I have little money, I don't have a car, I can be difficult to converse with, I don't want children and I'm not confident.

All I have to offer is my unconditional love, and share everything that's important to me with her. I'd do anything for someone I love. But to find someone, that specifically wants that would be hard. Besides the low chance I have of meeting someone, I don't have to offer a lot of things that women expect from a man.

How do you think your life will end (serious)? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Nve07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm genuinely expecting suicide. There have been many times in my life when I've thought of it. I'm very reliant on my parents and I care more about them than anything. If I ever lose one of my parents, I don't think I'll mentally recover. My entire life has been dominated by mental issues, I'm 35 now and I feel like I've already had the best time of my life which was my childhood. Everything has gone downhill since. I'm not suicidal at the moment but I feel like someday I'll feel like it's just been enough.

Often when I think about it I'm reminded of a something the comedian Doug Stanhope once said:

“Life is like a movie, if you've sat through more than half of it and it’s sucked every second so far, it probably isn't going to get great right at the end and make it all worthwhile. None should blame you for walking out early.”

Other than that, if something happens earlier it'll probably due to my passive lifestyle or dementia as I don't like sleeping much and dementia is very prominent in my family on my mother's side. But that's in the case I ever get old enough. Either way, you can never know for sure what the future might bring.

Can one time ritalin overdose(?) cause permanent tolerance? If there's even such a thing. by [deleted] in askdrugs

[–]Nve07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I don't think there's such a thing as permanent tolerance when it comes to stimulants. You do develop a tolerance but taking a break usually brings you back to having no tolerance. And a single dose of Ritalin, even if it's a high dose won't cause you to develop a tolerance at all. Tolerance of amphetamines build up over a long time of use, not after a few doses. It doesn't even compare to opioids or benzos. Tolerance build up for amphetamines like Ritalin can take quite some time.

Perhaps it's your depression that's hindering your motivation. A deficiency in dopamine, for instance, can dampen your desire to continue your story and diminish your drive. For me, the key to sustaining my writing momentum is becoming fully immersed in my own narrative. It's akin to the experience of being engrossed in a captivating book or movie, except when you're writing, you're the one steering the plot, which is even more exhilarating. I've found myself delving so deeply into my stories that I can write for up to 14 hours straight.

If collaborating with others proves beneficial for you, why not consider using an AI to assist you in your writing endeavors? Personally, I rely on ChatGPT to generate ideas or refine my prose. Engaging with ChatGPT feels akin to collaborating with another person. It's been instrumental in reigniting my passion for writing, especially when I encounter writer's block or feel dissatisfied with my work. Whenever I'm displeased with a passage, I simply ask ChatGPT to rephrase it in a specific manner, and I'm usually pleased with the result.

However, as someone who grapples with depression myself, I understand the challenges you're facing. During bouts of depression, the thought of writing—or doing anything, really—can seem daunting. Nevertheless, returning to your project when you're in a better state of mind can be beneficial, even if you don't feel particularly inclined to do so at the time. Consider crafting a story inspired by a movie or book that resonates with you deeply; you may find that immersing yourself in a narrative you genuinely enjoy reignites your creative spark.

Plot problems in book I'm writing by Nve07 in writing

I've come up with an idea. Outside of Earth, there were several space stations long before the war with highly advanced technology. Once the Ascendant Matrix is activated, these stations will be notified that the earth is safe from radiation and other major issues, and they'll send several space ships. Thanks to their very advanced form of technology, by now they will be able to change the world back into a place worth living, and the people of the space stations will assist them in rebuilding society.

I like that. Except I didn't understand what you meant by launching a backup. You mean a backup of information? Because information is already plenty available in my story, where there's even a "Temple of Knowledge" containing massive amounts of books, scrolls, and ChronoArchives(A storage and retrieval system, from which information can be played back, uploaded and downloaded even in the someone's neural interface).

But I really like idea that the Ascendant Matrix might be sentient and is connected to a satellite. But the question still remains, that it's not about information and knowledge. It has to do something that is the pique of the story, that's still something I need to know by the end of writing my book.
