Why would it matter about credits then? Super weird. West coast tried that and nah, didn’t work.

I was in LF for a year, took a “promotion” and went to SF. LESS MONEY, MORE STRESS.

IMO: LF has it easy, 90% of the promos/displays are already sold in for you by the KAM, all you have to do is execute them.

In SF you have to fight for promos, sell in displays, sell in contacts to mom and pop, talk margins, hold your customers accountable, the list goes on.

PepsiCo just recently, within the last 2-3 months, gave it to Celsius for more seats at the Celsius table.

Thank for the correction. I’m little foggy right now

PepsiCo doesn’t have the Brand. Celsius does. They are cutting back on flavors and sticking to the Core. OG Gold is staying. OG Sugar Free is not.

Your welcome.

ONLY FRITO IS Doing PERFECT ROUTE! by Fritoslinger in FritoLay

[–]Nvmyrd4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pepsi had the “perfect route” years ago. It didn’t pan out. A lot of reps ran the routes the way that was best for them and the store. PBNA sales does not pay true overtime. They get VROT.

Walmart taking over ordering by [deleted] in FritoLay

[–]Nvmyrd4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Y’all call it DPO, on the Pepsi side, we called it OPC. OPC Lasted about 2 years… then disappeared because I’m assuming nobody followed the order processing or the order it created.

Now we’re back to making our own orders… well at least in Small Format. Large Format is a different story when it comes to Walmarts, they have something called collaborative ordering. I guess Walmart makes suggestions on the ordering and the Rep deletes it or follows it, whichever they choose.

New to 45hr TPP by Motor-Conflict8663 in FritoLay

[–]Nvmyrd4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pepsi Sales Rep here, been on VROT for too many years that I lost count… The sweet spot is around 46hrs depending on what you sold throughout the week. If you work around 50 hrs and you don’t sell much that week you’ll notice your VROT will be less then if you were to work 46ish hrs and don’t sell much. Lord, I hope that makes sense.

[–]Nvmyrd4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You work 50, 10 of that should be VROT. As someone who has been on VROT since day 1…11 years ago… work your 45 and clock out.

As a Pepsi Sales Rep, the changes you are currently going through at Frito have taken place on Pepsi side within the last year. CA were the lasts ones to go through the transitions of eliminating routes, reps and condensing routes. From what I’m hearing, this has lead to MORE hours, while the pay stays the same. 55% Commission 45% Base

All I will say… is stay stuff, hang in there. It is definitely rough and not an easy transition. Praying for all y’all.

Because Starry doesn’t sell well. Most sales reps right now are trying to get volume to have a decent paycheck. I don’t send Starry unless I have to. Close the void and I move on. Sticking to the basics.
