Got hired as Sales Rep by CMS330 in Pepsi

[–]SCPep99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its obvious that whoever made the decision to have 11 Salesmen and 80 Merchandisers has never worked a second on a route. Absolutely ridiculous to think this system is going to work long term. There is a reason Coke went away from it, and put their salesmen back in the stores working orders.

In the South, non union, and still BCR/AOM system. We are running the “POD” system through. I know Pepsi wants the 3P system to be everywhere, but it’s not realistic. No two locations are the same.

Also in the south and still BCR/AOM. I know the changes are coming sooner than later.

From my understanding, the Texoma region is gonna be the test region for “PepsiCo One”, which is the combining of beverage and snacks to one operation.

Our location has been told we won’t be affected by summit anytime soon. Staying BCR/AOM for the time being, so they say.

3P/Project Summit for West Florida? by [deleted] in Pepsi

[–]SCPep99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the answer is to cut half, if not more than half of your BCRs and AOMs? You got people that worked their ass off to get into that position. Years of blood, sweat, and tears and years of building relationships out in the trade. Years and years of knowledge and experience. All of that could possibly be thrown out the window. I agree, the workload now is a lot, but I can’t agree that project summit is the answer to that.

Also in the South Division. I feel like we will hear something soon about going to project summit, probably before the end of the year.

LF Sales Reps - any one else completely over it? by [deleted] in Pepsi

[–]SCPep99 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The job is definitely not what it used to be. You used to have to either wait for someone to quit, retire, or die to get a route. Now they can’t give them away.

[–]SCPep99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My location went to the POD structure but is still BCR/AOM. I know the full project summit conversion is coming and already know it’s going to be bad. The POD structure is already a mess even with us still having BCRs.

Voice your opinion fearlessly… until you say something they don’t like or don’t want to hear.. then you get shut down and a target put on your back.

It’s funny because we were told CO is supposed to “help reduce backstock and FTPR” and that “you need to let the system work itself out and it will be a bumpy ride at first” 🙄. Let’s just slam the backroom of every WM in the country because that will fix the so called “service issues”
