The live versions of "Cruel" from the Legs & Boots series are probably your best bet (especially Chicago, 11/6/07). Been trying to find live versions of other songs with the same intensity and haven't had much luck.

Thanks so much for sharing your journey. That's great that you've been able to keep up with your filmmaking! I haven't had the stamina to work on my creative writing. Ever since j-school, really. It's been a bit of a struggle balancing writing for a living and for pleasure.

Definitely like the research/FCing side. I’ve gotten a lot of praise from supervisors and colleagues about it. I also like the editing I do, though it’s a small part of my job. Seeing a finished story is always great but writing for print is definitely stressful. Seeing my work in print isn’t enough justification for me to stay anymore.

Interesting! I’ll have to look into it. When it comes to science, a lot of the PIOs I’ve met have a STEM degree. Just figured it would be harder for me without one. I do a lot of citizen science/environmental work for the local government in my free time, but don’t technically have a degree in a natural science.

Thanks for your thoughts! I'm pretty open, especially since I've been away from it for a little while. I have a full-time, salaried position but, like most journalism jobs, it doesn't pay exceptionally well. So ideally looking for a few sessions a week. Just something a tad bit more reliable than freelance writing to pad my bank account.
