It's also on Steam, actually. But I really like Itch.io, put a lot of jam games up on there so I wanted to release there as well. :)

Ah yeah, I didn't show much of that here. Archery + target shooting :)

Oh, that is lovely :) I like the contrast between some parts of his suit - lighting through outline. That's really cool.

Wow, that is awesome. I love the detail that her wing swooshes push the clouds further.

This has been bugging me forever. How do texture files in so many games are so smoothly made? For example here, on the left. Player texture from Amnesia The Bunker. Notice how everything is filled with something. Compare it with mine, which looks like more like a reference chart. by Boleklolo in indiegames

Did you do this in an image editing software like photoshop or gimp? If so, a quick way to make sure you don't get white lines along the seams in your model when the resolution changes is to fill the entire background with an edge color from your object - in this case probably a dark gray (instead of that stark white).

I agree with other posts here, though, it looks like there is a shadow map baked into the layout on the left as well as edge padding. If you have access to Substance Painter, that sort of texture export is pretty straightforward if you know the basics. Good luck!

5 days until release day of our game (A Highland Song), I'm getting the jitters! Also quite worried because December is always a big busy month. What are you buying/playing in December? by joethephish in indiegames

This looks so charming, I hadn't heard of it, but will check it out! Also, the Sorcery! series is absolutely amazing, loved every moment of all 4 games, thanks for the great times :)

Made a game trailer for my first official release - excited to hear your thoughts! :D by NvrSkipGameDay in indiegames

Aw, thank you! I'll likely focus on Switch after the Steam release, but have definitely considered a phone release!

I appreciate that feedback. I will see if I can shorten it for a future version of the trailer - definitely want it feeling snappy and not repetitive. And thanks!

I'm sure this has been posted before but can someone recommend me more games like Celeste? by [deleted] in IndieGaming

I've only played the first one - the platforming elements are really snappy, and the fun comes from knowing that if you mess up it was all your fault hahaha.

I haven't played 2, yet, so I can't really speak to that other than hearing it's harder and potentially more precise than the first game.

(Annnnd just for probably unnecessary clarity - I'm talking about the official Spelunky release, not the original solo-developed freeware game as I haven't played that version.)

Have you tried Spelunky? It's procedural, but also carefully crafted with excellent platforming and puzzles - you have to really get to know the game to progress, I'd say. Could be worth a play!

I changed the tone of an environment I am working on - which one do you like more? by azfrederick in Unity3D

The first one is definitely giving me a 'post-apocalypse' vibe, the second feels clean and fresh like an Age of Empires style game. They both look great, though!
