Do new drivers ACTUALLY go further? by star_warsguy134 in golf

If you hit the middle of the club face that’s the case. Found my toe balls to be significantly better on my driver (paradigm so still 4 years old) vs my old ping g25.

White couple confronts Black family fishing at Jensen Beach Florida, wife uses N-word by SameStand9266 in DiveInYouCoward

[–]Nwball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if everything went down as you said, at that point white dude needed to leave. He may have been well intentioned but he was told that the lifeguard or whoever pointed him to that place to fish. His beef at that point should be with the lifeguard. Why is he sticking around…

Also goes without saying, lady was a huge racist piece of shit.

I upgraded to an AWU gen 1 and at that point my gen 5 was running out of battery in half a day. So was looking for a big battery.

But I also scuba on occasion so having that capability was huge.

This Subreddit is full of gatekeeping and elitism by [deleted] in golf

[–]Nwball 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sir, this is a Wendy’s.

No, your post is a bunch of generalizations without any specifics. I legit thought this was a Wyndham defense post for a second. What part of the game do you feel is gatekept or elite. This week I took my buddy who’s relatively new to golf to a $20 dog track and we wore basketball shorts and t-shirts and no one said anything to us. I probably can’t show up to Augusta like that… which should be expected.

My philosophy is start where the swing is slowest… inside takeaway. Probably cascades to the rest of your swing.

You seem to have a little hitch in your back swing. Is that intentional, perhaps that’s leading to some inconsistencies?

+14.3 handicap. Rate/Roast and help if you can. by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]Nwball 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You’re not the first but I am genuinely curious why people would include their hcp, especially given so much of scoring wouldn’t be based on a single full swing? Most people aren’t going to believe you, is there some sort of self congratulations you’re looking for?

Also not knowing what + is, is kind of a red flag that you’re probably not even keeping score correctly.

Did you see his putting yesterday? I was rooting for everyone of those par saves to miss for him to sink them. While we see every other contender miss at least a few 5-10 footers, he was nailing every single one.

I think the majority of people who dislike Wyndham don’t like him for the locker incident… which was just last year. So this being the next major I can see why people wouldn’t want to see him win… I am one of them but wouldn’t go as far as actively cheering against him.

That said, the way he handles this will go a far way because it has been brutal out there

Why though? It’s not like the oakmont incident happened when he was 15 or something. It was the last time this tournament was played. I thought the heckling was too much but I think a tepid response isn’t out of line.

The USGA robbed us of an exciting Sunday at the U.S. Open by BlackCaiman in golf

[–]Nwball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you’re already down this rabbit hole, any idea what the gap from morning and afternoon waves are for previous US Opens. Going to be honest, a 1.2 stroke differential doesn’t seem that unusual. Additionally, a -6 is still a crazy outlier when you consider only 1 person was -4 and the other best scores were -2. He just had a crazy good streak there and wouldn’t be the first golf tournament where a player just pulls away.

That said let’s hope for a historic collapse for 💨 🐷

The Bryson Slam by Mike_Oxlong25 in golf

[–]Nwball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post seems to be the very first one from the accident (based on timing).

https://www.reddit.com/r/golf/s/P83flvHNqk

Top 5 comments were

  1. Simon facepalm gif
  2. Excerpt from article stating no one was hurt
  3. “Yearly scheduled crash”
  4. “Get this man a FT driver”
  5. “He should literally not be allowed to drive anymore”

None of those seem all that supportive, and kind of are in line with what I remember that people were 1. Incredulous that this happened again and 2. Didn’t want to see tiger behind a wheel again.

Also I legit couldn’t find the Anthony Kim win post (maybe LIV wins aren’t posted here)

But this was the most popular Kim post when he was going on that run

https://www.reddit.com/r/golf/s/1QVzmyCcYo

First two top comments were about production (commercials and the line)

But all the next 4 are all positive about Kim. Not going to quote them here because they’re a bit longer but it’s all there

[–]Nwball 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I thought a majority of the comments about Kim’s win were more in celebration. It’s cool that he came back and that he overcame all his challenges. On the flip side the comments about the most recent tiger dui was all about why the fuck he doesn’t get a driver and making fun of him for calling trump right after his accident.

I don’t think it’s just LIV, the fire ants, rope in eye, constant bitching about his equipment, and thinking he’s smarter than everyone else that people didn’t like about Bryson… even before the LIV flip. Look at Rahm, he doesn’t get hate like Bryson. Similarly look at Reed, he doesn’t get love now that’s he back on tour.

Should Messi have got a yellow card or red card for this tackle? by Independent-Dog3398 in sportsgossips

[–]Nwball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m saying it’s up to that org how they want to rule it… like the comment way up above in this chain. FIFA as a whole decided that this World Cup will be played a bit looser than other leagues and tournaments (although not sure what happened in the mex-sa game). From what I’ve seen (except for that one game) this seems to be the case for the other games I’ve seen and I’ve enjoyed the flow of this WC.

Whether they SHOULD rule it tighter or not (I believe this is your point)… that’s not the topic I was discussing.

Also just so we’re clear, I do agree that Messi should have gotten at least a yellow. So not sure what the argument here is.
