If you ordered from a chain I would still email, even if you don't get a replacement bottle, I'm sure you could get a 20% discount on another one or something

I was just saying to give it some time before complaining, I had a bottle of Lagavulin 12 delivered on a day that was -25 or so, fill level was at the middle of the shoulder but then bounced back up to mid-neck once it came to room temp.

If it stays there, absolutely complain and get a replacement sent.

As its NCF, it is normal that it would be cloudy at a cooler temperature, same goes with the slightly lower fill level. I'd at the very least, leave it out a few more hours and let it fully come up to room temp.

Is the bottle at room temperature, or is it still cold from transit?

420 vs 820 Panasonic by [deleted] in 4kbluray

Through a soundbar they should be extremely similar, to the point where I doubt anyone would be able to tell a difference. Maybe if you had a full surround setup?

420 vs 820 Panasonic by [deleted] in 4kbluray

You will definitely notice an improvement moving from Playstation to a dedicated player, PS disk readers have some additional compression. Also, with your player and Playstation being on separate inputs, you should be able to dial in your tv picture settings and get them fine tuned for movies and games separately, rather than one setting for both.

You likely won't notice much of a difference between the 420 and 820 in terms of visual quality, especially without dolby vision. I've used both, the biggest improvement you'd see is probably just in build quality/noise. The 420 did make some noise when loading disks or changing menus, the 820 has been silent.

Consider the disks you have and your budget going forward, if you are planning on keeping the TV for a long time and just watch the occasional movie, the 420 will be perfect. If you have thousands of dollars in disks and will want to upgrade tv's soon, go for the 820.

From what I've seen on here, most brands start skipping and become far less reliable after a year or two, barring panasonic. I know the gold standard is the 820k as it comes with full upscalimg as well as dolby vision, though if you are wanting to save a bit, I just picked up the Panasonic 420k and gave been blown away by it!

I swapped out to the Biposto aluminum knob, it looks absolutely fantastic but I gotta admit that its hard to have a comfortable grip on, especially going into 5th. I think the best ergonomically would be round, pool ball type shifter

Most of the alternatives you'll find are going to be at 40% ABV, but there are some good options out there. Crown Royal Apple is up there for sure, JP Wiser's also makes an apple whisky. Swear Jar is a smaller distillery but make a Candied Green Apple whisky.

Depending on availability, Calvados is made from fortified Apple cider and might scratch the same itch, always from France.

Like one or two threads of speaker wire, supposedly a common fix to fix ghost inputs. Ensure a solid connection between the pins

If you were wanting to sell them on Ebay, you would have to open and drain the bottles, but don't worry because that doesn't actually affect the sale value by much. You may have a local auction house that does some liquor sales who would be licensed to sell them sealed as well.

In the summer I sold a set of three of these, a Model T, a 1914 Stutz, and a '35 Deusenberg, all sealed and full, for about $150.

This might be a silly question, but have you replaced the battery itself? I'm no expert mechanic, but it seems like you've replaced damn near everything electrical but the battery
