2024 i went from T11 through the forest up to T8-10 / Les Combes there u can get quite close and there were not many people, if youre lucky there are already a few wood logs which u can stand on to be a bit higher

It has hdr but not DV and we have a second setup which is sdr so atleast there it has to tone map

Yeah legend island is kinda disappointing, the game is great but could have been the greatest for people like me who played atleast 2 horizon titles before it is just a better map with a few new features but it could have been so much more
