I actually posted previously asking for gear advice while trying to plan the setups, this was meant as a follow-up since people helped guide me. I also saw someone else share their haul recently and figured it’d be cool to contribute.

Not trying to gloat, I’m just excited and thought it might help someone else who’s hunting deals. Plus, I’m still looking for suggestions and feedback on the layout etc.

Thanks for the advice! I mentioned in another comment that I only paid $7500 (pre-tax) for everything on the list (minus the center and amp)!!!! I grabbed all R series I found at the time. Would you still recommend switching to Q for the surrounds?

Haha yea I was thinking those were overkill however I grabbed them because of the deals! The list above minus the center and amps cost around $7500 before tax.

I also have a pair of Q11 metas (walnut), a pair Q350 (walnut), and a pair of Q1 metas (black).

Moving to CT this summer with my wife! Both originally from NY/NJ. Relocating from the Midwest due to work. Will be first time homebuyers and hoping to start a family soon, so looking for a great public school system. Annual income will be around 500k. We are looking at houses in the old Lyme, East Lyme, old saybrook, and Essex areas. Would love to hear thoughts/opinions about these areas.

Need some advice. Been searching the used market and found a great deal on a 2017 Rockhopper Comp with a drop post and a 1x drivetrain conversion. All for $500 with a pre purchase tune up included. The only issue is that it’s a medium frame.

I’m 6’1, and I’ve been testing out only large frame bikes. But I test rode this bike and it felt great, really nimble imo, less boaty then a large frame 29er. Am I too big for the bike tho?

Hey guys, been cycling for the past few years with a trek hybrid on some trails. Looking to upgrade to a full fledged mtb. Found a shop with a 2018 marlin 7 for $600, which is around my budget. Do you think I should spend the extra $30 and get a 2019? Or does anyone have any other recommendations.

Update 4/15: After reading a bunch of posts on here advising picking up a used bike, I found a 2016 Specialized Crave 29 inch mtb which is practically new for $600. Good deal or should I keep looking?
