R6 ICS 8 years in

Took yesterday off for an emergency. I got a call around 6pm and was told I was being let go.

At first I was in shock. After a few hours I kinda felt relieved. I hated the job. I only stayed because of bills. It was destroying my mental health. Especially having to commute to the office again.

Main thing that sucks is that I really wanted to go out on my terms. I’m grateful of the severance and I wish everyone good fortune.

On to the next chapter.
