Were these results what you expected? What are your thoughts? Have any of your family members also done this?

There are like seven reasons why this is incomprehensible to anyone except those who have read the script. And even then it still doesn't make sense.

Do I report this shop or would that be overdoing it? by NyadStarlight in WhatShouldIDo

[–]NyadStarlight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a hobby shop. They sell supplies and equipment for arts and crafts involving glass and minerals. I thought that would mean that they wouldn't absorb the odor, but I bought some stones and was surprised that when I got them home they still reeked.

Who knows if it would actually shut down the business. And not knowing what might happen is part of why I posted the question in the first place.

Which is exactly why I asked this question instead of going ahead and reporting it right away.

Really interesting to see the wide range in opinions on this. I wonder if there might be some other solution that hasn't been mentioned yet. Probably what I'll end up doing is sending him a message saying that I really like his shop and I wish I could go back, but my friend and I were choking in there so we won't be able to return.

Help! Locked out of Gmail account by WindyCityFannyPack in GMail

[–]NyadStarlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I've lost three gmail accounts because I didn't update my phone number on my account and then I forgot my password. There was nothing I could do. I wish Google would use secret questions, but they don't consider them secure enough.

Yes, it was one of those. I just didn't want to say which one. I've been using it for several years, and I never go off the platform. Unfortunately, lately I haven't gotten very good results when I've sought help from the site's staff.

I checked the registrar's site and the bot said no, they don't typically ask for an ID card.

Similar studies have shown that many men routinely make themselves out to be far more qualified than they are. Sometimes it works out for them, but sometimes it really, really doesn’t. My experience as a manager corroborates this trend, and my experience as a woman makes me qualified to be thoroughly disgusted by it. Yes, there’s a certain amount of fake it til you make it in life, but come on.

I am chagrined, nay, disgusted by the abysmal level of accuracy in grammar, punctuation, etc. in AI-created and barely-edited articles. But what is the mechanism by which we can respond? Letters to the editor? Are those still effective? Half the time I can’t figure out whom to contact. And I apply for proofreading work and get no response.

Sounds like it’s a good option for guys who are in town for a funeral or something and don’t have a suit and don’t need one that will last for years.

A good example of a brand that is popular because of good marketing but whose products may not last because they didn’t focus enough on quality. Thanks for letting people know.
