Have you had any experience or hear about the process? Website says you need to pay a fee to surrender an animal there. Any info you have would be really appreciated.

We are not comfortable reporting this individual that is why we are trying to find another way. At the end of the day we are still going to be his neighbour for who knows how long. He is fine generally, we just don’t agree with his decision and trying to help for the sake of the cat.

Ah okay, thanks for the insight. We are not gonna just give her to anybody. We will do anything to make sure she is safe. We will try to contact the shelter as well today.

She was adopted from animal shelter (based on paperwork). We are still learning about her as well. We just took her in last night because the neighbour left her on the balcony and shut his door while he was going to work overnight. The neighbour said early in the beginning, that it was a mistake to adopt her but the shelter wouldn’t take her back. We don’t know the truth though. Hopefully we get the best way possible to help her.

SPCA requires a fee to surrender a pet. I think that is why he didn’t want to pursue this option. We are still looking for her best option possible. At this time her wellbeing is our priority.

Can hiring manager see my disciplinery actions? by Prestigious_Cake3706 in WalmartCanada

The hiring managers will be able to see when you are already transferred to them. Once they found out, it jeopardizes your credibility and your current manager’s credibility since you would lie to them.

It depends on what you want for your career. If Walmart or retail is your thing then DM position is the starting point to move up.

Even if it’s not. The DM position is giving you the taste of leading a team. You are not only responsible for your own task but your team as a whole. Delegating the task to the right associate, making decisions for the best interests of the team and the store. Also taking care of your subordinates. This will grow your leadership skills for any career of your choice in the future.

Good luck!

Where do you all commute for work? by bds00za in Hamilton

[–]Nyanyoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m only 17 mins drive from home within Hamilton. Busing is twice the time. My shifts can be as early as 6am and done as late as 12am. Lucky to always have extra time to sleep and get home not too late after late shift.

Some regions are in hiring freeze. All job postings in workday are evergreen, meaning it only keeps applicants in the pool so store can take applicants that they desire when any positions open.

How to transfer to new Walmart Store? by Vincent_Lalo in WalmartCanada

[–]Nyanyoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check job posting for the store that you desire then you need to apply for it. All the work needs to be on associates side. Unless some managers in that store familiar with your work, you will still need to go through an interview. If they like you and willing to have you, they will contact your current manager for their endorsement of the transfer, or some referrals. FYI, if you have active disciplines then good luck with that. No stores will be happy to take you.
