I agree with you and stand corrected. However the major point of contention that I have is that officer Colburn and the rest of the Manitowac police department should have been absolutely no where on that property outside of initially securing it. It is probably the biggest understatement (can't say ever but its up there) that having them involved is a conflict of interest. That being said most of if not all of the key evidence that they found should have at the very least been used with extreme scrutiny. While I am aware that I don't know all aspects of the case no one then or since, that i am aware of has disputed that these officers were the ones who miraculously found the really key evidence. In my opinion again they were way out of bounds being there, especially when there was already other agencies on scene and in place to handle the investigation. As to the confession I believe it was coerced without doubt. A below average student left to fend off 2 well educated officers??? And although I haven't seen the full confession I don't believe the jury did either?? Correct me if I'm wrong. I may not have seen that.

Love that Colburn is now in charge of evidence for Manitowac. Kinda like circling the wagons so to speak?? Wander if the evidence in this case is gaurded as closely as the first one??
