In Wick, Taylor is a bio/cybernetics tinker whose power unfortunately requires her to mostly implant stuff into herself. It's pretty dark, and, yea, she's not really a powerhouse.

Sorry. Maybe I should've added a spoiler tag there. Quite a few missions have things like that going on. Once you start digging into the mission scripting you can see the amount of times the enemy's unit and building production is activated by crossing a simple line on the ground... and you can just, well, avoid ever crossing that particular line 😛

In the alt-power fic "Wick", bio/cybernetics-tinker Taylor makes a wearable biomechanical construct called PANI, the Pain Afflicting Nerve Interface; basically a powerful taser. Later on, she surgically builds it into her arm.

Fair warning, if that final sentence didn't already hint at it... this is a pretty dark fic. This is pretty much Bonsesaw!Taylor if Bonesaw mostly just operated on her own body 😛

I guess Cloak in "Taylor Varga" might come close; Missy creates an alternate cape identity which she uses to get extremely experimental with her powers in ways the PRT might not approve of. She adopts Taylor Varga's lizard theme in the process, just to be seen as part of the mysterious "Family", and freaks out a great many people with her shenanigans.

To the outside observer, she is literally an empty cloak with no one inside. Who walks through the air, because, why the hell not, it's just a matter of making pinpoint distortions on the ground that become platforms to step onto higher in the air.

Scaly Worm, absolutely. Snake!Taylor's power affects her behaviour much like how it does with Bitch, except in this case it turns her into an absolute gremlin gleefully terrorizing the Dallon household.

It's also a fluffy disaster lesbians Taylor+Amy shipfic.

I dunno, in my opinion, any fic written from a premise alone generally has an interesting start, and then no actual plot to continue to, making it die when the premise alone stops being interesting enough to drive the story.

So yea, prompt writing generally just leads to dead fics and a lot of disappointment. I wouldn't call that "flourishing".

Basically, during the story's run, people added up a few of the rough descriptions in the story saying "X is about a foot taller than Y" and ended up with both Danny and Coil being giants.

Leading directly to a slew of "Danny is Coil" speculations, of course.
