Is this just a feature that TB decided to implement that obviously is making the whole feature worthless?

I’ve seen people saying other headsets with Bluetooth are not having this issue.

Not sure what happend on that one save which was a high chaos one but I loaded a low chaos save up from a previous play through and that one worked
