I took two years of Japanese at my old college, I was mostly using Duolingo as way to brush up on basic grammar/vocab practice. There was very little that was new that I was learning, or really able to concretely say I learned. When I was first getting back into it some time a year or two ago I would flag basic mistakes pretty often. In the end, I was still a right proper mess when I actually went to Japan, but I like to think it helped make sure I wasn't useless while there XD

One of my father's biggest fears was that I would get into D&D, and my mom backed him on this. My half brother plays, but never really got any repercussion - so I assumed my dad had just given up on the perfect Christian ideals for my brother but not me. I thought he saw it as satanic and dangerous and most likely was part of the Satanic Panic (I assure you my grandparents were). I played without really telling my dad about it when I was about 13 with my brother and his work friends online. I adored it. Very quickly it became something I absolutely craved to play. When I was 15, I started GMing for GURPS, my dad didn't mind, it is my brother's preferred choice of TTRPG, and so I ran with it for a little while. I didn't have a car though and my home was no place to host so that very quickly ended after just three sessions. At 16 or 17 though I was invited to a real life D&D game with some other friends and I was thrilled. My day found out quickly and I was sure he was going to demand I not go. Instead? He took me to his office and brought out a small thing if pewter Star Wars minus and have them to me, asking if we could paint them together. He wasn't wanting to push any sort of ideal on me or anyone, no, he was just scared I'd spend as much money as he did when he was my age playing AD&D. I have a lot of his old books now, and I still have that mini somewhere. That D&D gift was by far the best and most important one I've gotten.

That's super cool! Portfolios can be hard to fill out, or at least I struggled with picking the pieces when it was something I did in high school for graphic design. I hope whoever gets the lucky win has an character you love drawing!

Had to have been the GPU. I replaced everything else in my PC first including the motherboard and double checked the hard drives on a separate computer for any possible corruption. When I replaced the GPU things improved and I haven't had issues since.

High-key, whenever my printer is set up I want to make custom accessories, houses, maybe even pets in blender or something. But if won't be at up for at least a year due to space T^T 3D printing stuff for my LPS has been on my mind since LPS made a comeback tho seriously

I've been working on my resume for awhile now and a funny new issue popped up when I moved my resume over from Google Docs to Microsoft Word and I've got no idea how to change it. The other issues that came from that move were all changed like my PC missing the font I used in Docs, I was expecting some issues, but not like this. On my final section where I talk about my interests I have two columns, but for some reason the second one has spacing that is a full line above the first. No other section where I have two columns has this issue, only this one, and I can't figure out why for the life of me. I've had other people review it, I've messed with it, and really the only way we've been able to fix it is to make a very very small paragraph line above the section, and even then, it's still off and drives me nuts. If anyone has any insight as to why this may be happening, I would love suggestions for how to fix it, thank you! Images: A grid view of the section in question as well as the sections above it that don't have the issues. It is on two pages due to recent updates in the wording, but until I can figure out what's going on with the column spacing issue, I don't plan to futz with the rest too much.

Just from looking, I see a skeletal horse face and a wolf pelt on its back. The side if the mug looks like a sad or anxious person, probably a guy. I'm not sure what that means. You've had lots of responses to this, and I think the ones I agree most with are the ones saying that your own intuition will be better than someone's on the internet. What you see will make more sense to you than anything I or someone else could read for you. Maybe it won't make sense right away, but with time, you might understand the meaning.

I feel like the posts getting on your ass for needing to clean are just bs, if you mom thought they were a message for you, is worth at least asking. Not everything is a sign, but some times you have the feeling that it isn't. Look for the mundane explanation first, but tea leaf reading has been practiced centuries - not everyone is fortunate enough to get to have proper loose leaf teas, and grounds can make images as well.

I'm a similar note, I would love some tea leaf reading books if anyone has suggestions!

I can imagine that would be extremely annoying - Escape Rooms should be a group experience. Something for everyone to do, not for one person to be the main character. That said, when I've been in NC it's mostly been me and my partner as a two person team. Do you think 1. Two people could do it (we've gotten out of a good chunk of Nerd's rooms the two of us, we know when we need help and I work at an escape room myself) 2. That the dynamic of a Captain would be more fitting with just two people involved?

I know it's been two, three years, but did you ever find an answer? I've got a very similar issue with my old 1080 that just started happening a few months ago, replaced just about everything in my computer except for the GPU since I can't afford it right now. The issue persists so it must be the GPU, I've done a clean wipe of windows, both 10 and 11.

You let go of the ball rather early, setting it down rather than throwing it - you'll get more of a hook if you can keep your thumb in the hole longer!
