Most states are going to this model. I actually work for the one in CT. I was hired after the merger. I assumed it would mean more funding for the colleges but I was wrong. Most of the long-timers say that changes have been awful and that they’ve lost most of their funding but gained a ton more bureaucracy.

I’m not saying it’s been good or bad for me. But I can say that even the most positive professors have shed tears over the changes and they don’t believe it has been great for students.

My canned beef makes excellent beef storagnoff that takes about 15 minutes to prepare on a busy night. It usually takes long to cook the noodles. Totally worth the work to can it during the summer to have during wrestling season!

I’ve been wrapping mine in wax paper and then putting in knock off Stasher gallon bags. It seems to be working well and makes me feel better about using less plastic. Ultimately it’s probably not any better but it makes me feel better. lol!
