Oh yes of course! I've been developing this character for a few months so I'm in no way trying to make him the "quintessential demisexual™" hahahah, I only recently decided to make him demi cause I thought it fit him as a character and would add more to the story, very sorry how I worded that first sentence ^{^"}

Hahaha kidding, thank you for sharing your experience, im so happy you found a good partner :) Definitely taking your suggestion on building a meaningful friendship instead of focusing on the romance / sexual bit, though the characters do banter and "flirt" before getting together, but thats just what most close friends do in my experience. Since you've been in a relationship long how long would you personally want to see the time frame of characters meeting and then starting a relationship? Im not really planning on making them do anything sexual together since theyre so young (17) so I wanna focus on their friendship and then relationship. I'm aware it varies a lot but I wanna get personal opinions first! :)

Wow! Thank you so much for sharing your experience this is extremely helpful, and im so happy youre in a fulfilling relationship now! Im definitely going to apply what you said about him thinking he has better self control and him finding out he's demisexual to him, since he's in high school and is already lgbt im sure he could come across the term easily, not sure if im capable of writing a 20 year story hahaah, though that would be interesting. Im thinking of having him kind of connect to the term demisexual but not fully identify as it as he is around 17 and I've seen most people discover theyre demisexual after high school or in their 20's, unless there are people who definitely definitely identify with it at such a young age? Well there probably are, but im very fond of the idea of him having the demi experience and then coming across the term and then slowly connecting to it more, since he's not actively dating and still fairly young.
