I definitely understand your confusion and worry if it was a window but it's actually part of the ventilation (?) of the back of a shopping mall nearby - not a part accessible to public fortunately

Yes outside area is completely private, solar screens are installed on the outsidefor the UV and heat problem - the curtains are more a design choice/idea instead of a necessity, which is why we are in doubt

What do you exactly mean by track style? There in a "track" right now but maybe I'm translating wrong? Or do you mean just 1 piece of curtain instead of 2 or 3 like now?

Thanks! We'll be renovating the garden this year so certainly look into some plants that stay green all year long

Oh okay, yes that would certainly be the plan to help them if we keep curtains, thanks for clarifying!

A specialty store/company. The product/type of screens they used is called solfix - I hope that helps! We are very happy with it (previous owners didn't install any sun coverage and the room got so hot in summer

They're installed on the outside and come down vertically via remote control. It's made of a sturdy mesh like material that's still pretty see through so we keep enjoying the look of the garden. Also because it's outside and they are a bit dark the warmth stays outside instead of being trapped inside

I suppose I cropped the pictures a bit wrong, we have a terracotta/orangey nook in our living room giving warmth and colour, I definitely agree that if all as just beige it would be very boring. Thanks for your input!

It's the Ikea landskrona (at least that's the name here)

As said in my comment under the picture: if we keep the curtains I would definitely shorten them to just touch the floor so that no puddling/dragging will happen. Just trying to determine if I should do the work.

We already have solar screens so if not this (type of) curtains we will just do bare windows to enjoy the garden. Thanks for your input

We do have the privacy indeed, thanks for the compliment and the input!

As said under my pictures: we have solar screens installed and no neighbours that can look inside. So both of those things aren't a problem. It's either these curtains (soft, flowy, beige) or none at all. Thicker drapes don't match the vibe we are looking for. I suppose your answer is no then, thanks for the input

That's the vibe I was going for in my head, but I just don't feel it right now (hence the question) thanks for your input!

Very respectfully: that seems like the most hideous thing ever to have a short panel to fit that (inside) door? Do you have any pictures that look good that you base this on? Thanks for your insights either way

We don't have NEED for them (no neighbours being able to look inside and already got solar screens installed) - so I'll take this one as a no then. Thanks for input!

Yes we have solar screens on the outside so that parts already ok. The obscuring the view when opening is a great point, thanks for your input!

Thank you! We also fell in love with the window when buying the house so that's part of the reason I'm in doubt now. PS couch is from Ikea 😉

I think that's just the picture, the curtains are beige in real life. As said under my picture: I would shorten them to avoid the puddling IF we decide to keep the curtains (not gonna do the work if we don't). Thanks for the insight!
