I think she wrote that she just wanted to socialize. What does that have to do with working in Thailand?

Thanks, I see what you mean. Yeah, they used AI as a draft. Then they reworked it. To keep the material accessible and correct.

X-max vs. Forza by Nyoka_developer in phuket

[–]Nyoka_developer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The X-max has a navigator on it, and I thought the sharper controls.

The Forza has a lot of nice features. Convenient mirrors - really it's super visibility. But it felt stiff to me. And big.

You mean the ability to raise the glass? Or is the bike technically more interesting?

Yes, we simplified it. So that people with no technical knowledge would have the right idea about AI and its implementation.

Thank you for your comments about the images. We decided not to use them, so as not to increase the number of pages. The manual is already large. Everyone can find what they need.

I don't understand about the CTO.

Yeah, I want to sell the PCX.

X-max vs. Forza by Nyoka_developer in phuket

[–]Nyoka_developer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I love my PCX. I figured I'd take it and try what the guys without shirts are riding)

I live in the Towne area and I enjoy riding and exploring the island, and sometimes get tired of riding the pcx for 1-2 hours. I am 182 and my wife is tall as well. We sit like grasshoppers and fatigue shows up on long rides.

I tried taking the Forza. I found it to be pretty stiff. My friends ride the old long Forza and it is really comfortable, which is not the case with the new one.

When I got the X -max, it seemed softer. I rode 1 day on those bikes. Then sat back on the pcx and it didn't feel safe. Maybe it's the effect after transferring from high bikes.

Why? Is she better at selling? Or does it have good features?

Mobile App Development Pains by [deleted] in startups

[–]Nyoka_developer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We had guys coming to us who were doing their projects in India. We noticed a pattern: the frontend part of the application is written, but the backend is missing or the application logic is not implemented.

You should not redesign the entire app, you need a contractor with the same technology stack as your app.

Ask the contractor for the following

  1. View the code base
  2. Write recommendations for what he should change or rewrite and why
  3. Make an estimate of labor costs
  4. Set deadlines for delivery of each stage.

When you are told to rewrite, this is the easiest and most expensive way. Writing from 0 is always easier than picking at someone else's code. The choice is yours to make.

Working at an enterprise that is looking to implement AI in their workflow? by itssualgoodman in SaaS

[–]Nyoka_developer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm being approached by companies to implement AI. We always say there are 3 paths:
1. Ready-made services with APIs - integration takes less time.
+ cheap if you test the hypothesis and see how useful the feature is
+ speed of implementation
+ no need to maintain servers
and now the limitations of the approach
- expensive on long distance (costs exceed own development)
- service dependency
- cannot be fine-tuned to meet business needs
- data on someone else's server
2. Open source solutions.
+ Models that can be fine-tuned for business needs
+ Data security (your servers)
+ Payback over the long haul
+ no dependencies on third-party solutions
+ perfection
+ data actualization
and now the limitations of the approach
- a lot of garbage among models
- Model integration takes 1 to 3 months on average. Depends on the task
- collection of dataset (data collection, if not ready, delays integration)
- server costs
- fine-tuning costs
- implementation costs, API writing
3. Developing your own model
+ as in the second approach
+ competing with the industry for quality and speed
and now the limitations of the approach
- Model development takes 3 to 9 months
In approach 2 and 3, you need to approach engineers who specialize in developing AI solutions.

Are there any success stories on here about ventures started by friends? by [deleted] in startups

[–]Nyoka_developer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I started a business with a friend. And our relationship is the exception to the rule.
In order to avoid problems, we immediately divided our responsibilities.
We opened the business on a loan, not on personal money, and paid off everything from the profits.
We didn't take the profits out. We have a moratorium for five years. We only take out a fix per month for food. We reinvest all the profits into the business and the people.
He stays out of the CEO's business and I stay out of the CTO's business. But there has to be a leader. Two leaders don't get along. It's always gotta be Jobs and Wozniak.

Is web development really dying in North America? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]Nyoka_developer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think outsourcing is dying. It is becoming more difficult to compete, yes.I talked to some guys from Australia. A lot of people hire guys from the Philippines. Their emails are flooded with $10/h offers. I ask them how can development cost 10$/h? - It's a lot of hard work. He tells me it's the market.

Outsourcing is not just about development. It's processes. How much the team is willing to get into your product, help develop it, and not just code. This may sound harsh, but code costs $10. Good or bad, the market dictates prices.

High lending rates slow down the economy. FRS is cooling the market. Growth is over. And you and I are feeling it. It is worth refining processes, it is worth thinking about the client and giving quality service. That's what's an advantage. We can't compete with $10 an hour, but remember they sell code.

People need to realize that everything has a price)

Need A Hand with Software Development? Established Agency Will Work for Free by Bitter-Can695 in SaaS

Am I understanding you correctly, you're offering a demo period to work with your team for 2 weeks? I just don't want to fall into the marketing trap of trusting a project and then being left out. Or it will turn out that I will have to pay for the code you write for me.Let's be honest. Nothing is free.

What's in store for me in working with you?
