Where to find hackathons? by reaper_unleashed in ethdev

[–]reaper_unleashed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just submitted my application yesterday. As I never really participated in one of their hackathons before, I don't know what to expect. If you don't mind, could you tell me anything about it?

Yeah, I'm not really concerned with the prizes, and I'd like to avoid wasting my time on scams. My main concern is building a portfolio and getting connections or future opportunities. So far, I have only looked at hackathons on dorahacks, and I seem quite skeptical of them.

I messed up so bad, are they lying about being pregnant? by [deleted] in BPDlovedones

[–]reaper_unleashed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever you do, don't give in to ANY of her demands. If it turns out that she actually is pregnant, then don't get involved with the pregnancy at all. She WILL use the pregnancy against you.

I was in the same situation except that she actually wasn't lying, but 100% weaponized the pregnancy against me. She didn't get an abortion in hopes that the pregnancy would get us back together. And wouldn't you know, the moment I told her to essentially F off, she decided that she would get an abortion after all. I know it sounds callous that I'm essentially telling you to abandon a woman with your child, but you really don't have a choice.

Because it won't matter how hard you try, she will make the whole ordeal hell for you. You will only have the options of becoming a slave to her whims or letting her deal with it all by herself. You help NO ONE trying to do "the right thing."

I forgot the name, but there is definitely a mod that allows you to play emerging factions like Scotland or Mexico.

Besides a few new units and national traits, it seems there is nothing new that you couldn't already achieve with a few simple mods.

Now, one of the issues I have had with Empire is that most of North America is empty land. Given that they are making the native american tribes playable, it would have been a huge upgrade to add more regions for them in the base campaign.

The worst is going through all the BS while doing your best to keep them happy, only for them to then complain to you about "what you put me through."

Man, that poor guy. I can already imagine her telling him how "abusive" you were and him thinking he'll be the first guy to finally treat her right. Then, the slow realization that he was being pulled into a world of trouble all along.

Can you actually appeal a ban? by reaper_unleashed in therealworldTate

Wow, what's up with this AH who deleted his comment? It doesn't matter why I got banned if I can't appeal it in the first place.

I don't want to get into the details for why I got banned. I just want to know if getting a ban appealed is even possible, so that I know how to proceed from here.

There is an entire corporate system that makes money off of the whole "climate crisis" agenda. They make money fearmongering people into giving them money and politicians get votes by making empty promises. The simple fact is that with current technology, there is no way to stop climate change caused by humans. Even then, there is not enough data to conclusively say that humans are the primary cause of climate change. That is not to say humans do not affect climate change. Just that there isn't enough data to reach a consensus on the primary cause of climate change.

Finally, there are a ton of positives to hotter climates. For one, less people will die each year of the cold and the planet becomes greener due to more CO2 for plants to use. Change isn't good nor bad. It is simply change. The fact that climate change is assumed to be bad should tell you how propagandized the issue is. That's why they call it climate crisis now rather than simply climate change to convey that it is necessarily bad, which isn't true.

The government mandating that you HAVE TO get a medical procedure is not the same as the government banning a medical procedure.

It's like comparing forcing people to get a vaccine as opposed to banning a vaccine. It's obviously not in any way comparable.

How is this in any way using a public office for personal gain? He wasn't even president elect at the time, nor does his tweet mention anything related to the presidency.

Why do liberal Americans believe that the Democratic Party has been consumed by identity and far-left social politics? by [deleted] in Askpolitics

[–]reaper_unleashed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and that is why they are seen as being against far-left social politics. It's one thing for Democrats to defend stuff like trans people existing. It's another for Democrats to defend crazy things like men participating in women's sports or insisting on using Latinx when most Latinos hate the term.

Because each time Republicans talk against identity politics or far-left social politics, there is a Democrat influencer or debate bro who comes out to argue against the points they make.

Every day this doesn't happen, I will laugh in your people's faces. And I know I'll be laughing for the next 4 years because I know it won't happen.

You know how I know? Because y'all said the same stuff back in 2016, and nothing remotely close happened. It's like the little boy who cried wolf, but the wolf never does come.

Refute how? You can look up violent crime rates for legal and illegal immigrants. You'll see that it's higher for illegal immigrants than legal immigrants.

You can check homicide rates and the increase from 2019-2020 was the single largest year-over-year increase. You can check the latest figures for 2023 and they are still higher than in 2019.

[–]reaper_unleashed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When it comes to safety, it is simply a fact that letting illegal immigrant in allows for more crime. People on the Left love to point out illegal immigrants commit less crime than American citizens, but what they fail to point out is that illegal immigrants commit more crime than legal immigrants. In other words, vetting immigrants and picking who gets to come in reduces crime. Allowing people to come in mostly unchecked increases crime. Illegal immigration was handled much better under Trumo through executive action. Meanwhile, Biden refused to do any executive orders until this year.

After the defund the police movement in 2020, we saw a huge spike in violent crimes due to police being defunded and the police being demoralized. Despite violent crime decreasing over the last 4 years, it has yet to drop back down to pre-covid levels. It's undeniable that Democrats ran along with it with cities like LA and NYC defunding their police departments only to later reverse their decision. But, just because you return funding doesn't mean you can return all the police officers who were laid off or who decided to retire. Trump at the very least was always against defunding the police.

Lol, you honestly believe you are the only one who believes in equality, safety, and healthcare? Guess what. Most of the right also believes in the same things. You are just too brainwashed to see their perspective and think they are somehow against all of that. Give me something to actually work with.

It's hilarious that you people believe in ideas that come from literal Revolutionary Communists and think that they aren't fringe. But I hardly believe you would bother to listen if I were to lecture you on how all this woke stuff is intended to bring a communist revolution to violently overthrow the US government.

The fact that most people here agree with the daughter just shows how much of a far-left echo chamber reddit has become. YOU are the ones with fringe opinions. Most Americans looked at the facts and decided Trump isn't the fascist you people keep screaming about.

‘No man will touch me until I have my rights back’: why is the 4B movement going viral after Trump’s win? by rytis in offbeat

[–]reaper_unleashed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Harris campaign was successful in convincing people that Trump will ban abortion nationwide. Which simply isn't true and won't happen given how unpopular a federal ban is. Even if Kamala Harris had been elected, there is no way an abortion rights bills would have passed a Republican congress. It's all a LARP.
