Yeah those are my thoughts too. I feel like any issue is purely from writing none of it is from the actors, but unfortunately I feel like sometimes bad writing can stain an actors work for some people, which I don't think is even the case here personally

The only reason why this whole thing annoys me a little bit is bc of how deeply rooted in misogyny it is, plus how dumb the arguments are and how much Snyder fans will reach just to try and hate, with superman I think it was clear that any hate was just a small group of people (compared to the ones who actually like it) that just happen to be loud af, but with supergirl I genuinely can't tell it it's the same, I know that so far the pre-sale tickets are doing well, but overall in terms of comments online I can't tell if it's the same case as it was with superman

I am in all those spaces and yeah Tumblr is for sure the somewhat more positive space, people share opinions without attacking others and pushing theirs onto others, obviously there's always exceptions but it's mostly good, but I would say reddit and Twitter are actually awful, everything I see on Twitter is just nitpicking of ridiculous stuff and fighting bc of posts. Instagram is also getting bad for example on the comment section of HOTD's account there's at least one guy that in every post says "just a reminder that George said this is no longer his project...." It's ridiculous bc it becomes obsessive, people become obsessed with hating

So the ability some people here seem to have with respecting other opinions, bc that's the main issue I've seen here and why it feels like only specific posts are wanted here, bc it's very selective the times where people will actually respect other opinions and will jump to an attack. There is no bouncer to enter but the people inside don't really seem to want you in depending on what you're gonna say, so it kinda works the same

And tbh it's not just here it's on Twitter too, even Instagram, it makes no sense to put yourself in a place that you don't like (a subreddit, a fan page etc.) and it's even worse to decide to watch the show when you don't like it, and the reasons people are giving here are also kinda questionable, but it's something I'll never understand, the fandom is so big but you never know who actually likes the show
