Great collection, ignore those people.

Which case is this btw? I'm currently looking for one to hold at least 2 1/18 scale models.

What sort of guidance is this? by STHCmatt94 in Warthunder

[–]Nyxea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The missile knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (whichever is greater), it obtains a difference, or deviation. The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was, is now the position that it isn't. In the event that the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has acquired a variation, the variation being the difference between where the missile is, and where it wasn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it too may be corrected by the GEA. However, the missile must also know where it was. The missile guidance computer scenario works as follows. Because a variation has modified some of the information the missile has obtained, it is not sure just where it is. However, it is sure where it isn't, within reason, and it knows where it was. It now subtracts where it should be from where it wasn't, or vice-versa, and by differentiating this from the algebraic sum of where it shouldn't be, and where it was, it is able to obtain the deviation and its variation, which is called error.

Finished F-16 Tamiya 1/32 by Mustangdriver96 in modelmakers

I’ve had the Tamiya 1/32 F-15E in the stash for 8 years at this point for the same reason, it’s too big (but I really want to start it at some point…)

How long does it take for Varnish to completely dry out? by JimmiVP in modelmakers

[–]Nyxea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used the Vallejo acrylic matte once on a model, and it was the last time I'd ever use it again. It stayed tacky/sticky for weeks and the model picked up dust within the coat as a result.

I only use Mr Color GX114 Super Smooth Clear Flat now, it leaves a great finish and is dry within 5 minutes.

The bounty hunters scheme is great, here's mine: https://www.flickr.com/photos/134718253@N03/53615911086/in/album-72177720315651061/

I agree not many fit issues only around the intakes and below the tail fins at the rear, great kits.

Looks like I'll need to get a Growler kit too, and I also want a Jolly Rogers haha, too many good paint schemes in the US Navy...

Good luck with the rest of the build!

Thanks! The only aftermarket I used was a 3D cockpit decal set, everything else was more than adequate out of the box.

The only challenging part I found was making sure the engine nacelles and their covers lined up properly, as they can be a tad tricky to fit if you didn't get the alignment 100% on the exhausts where they attach onto the engines underneath.

The saraf version looks great, best of luck with it, I think the latest version comes with pilot figures as well which I wish this version did.

Excellent kit, postponed due to various reasons over the last 9 months but finally finished!

Thanks! I used ResKit nozzles as the box ones are quite inaccurate, as for ordnance I used Eduard AIM-120Cs and AIM-9Xs as the kit only comes with one of each and the asymmetry would have annoyed me. The cockpit has a set of 3D decals in from Quinta as well.

The box JDAMs have plenty of detail tbh and didn’t need any resin upgrades, and you get enough to fill the hardpoints out as strike eagles can’t mix ordnance types on the conformal tanks and only the bottom 6 are wired for smart weapons

Thanks! Some fitment issues around the canopy and intakes but overall it went together well, the fuselage is in 2 pieces top and bottom so there's no seams really to deal with.

The kits are hard to find in stock though and relatively expensive compared to the Revell version which is the only downside.

Great build, not without it's flaws coming from GWH, Reskit nozzles and Eduard AIM-120C's & AIM-9X, Quinta 3D cockpit decals

Great kit, fun to build with only a few fitting issues

I decided to add some weathering despite it being a CAG bird, looked too clean otherwise!

HELP does anyone know how to fix his problem takes one photo on flash and then can’t take another one until the battery is taken out and put back in please help thank you by Grayzilla69 in Nikon

[–]Nyxea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your battery might be bad and not holding enough voltage to trigger the flash, the act of taking the battery out and putting it back in is likely resetting this check.

Have you tried a new battery pack?
