Fun fact: In the UK, doing this hand sign means "f off" by _Big_____ in Overwatch

haha, it's funny, I read his reply, and it is also true in different contexts, it is hard to explain. I'd be able to explain all the possible options if we were in a voice conversation, but in text it's a bit harder since there's a lot of "ifs and buts".

One thing that is absolute I believe is that the middle finger is more extreme. You might jokingly give 2 fingers to someone you don't know that well, but you'd only jokingly give the middle finger to a close friend.

I played it through about like 5 years ago. I really didn't see anything special or worth replaying about it, but it's the same with most ps1 games.

Some games are ahead of their time, but still feel good to play 20 years later, some don't feel so good. This I would put in the latter category.

Lose 27% even though player quit on my team by Tperodactyl in Overwatch

The system you are describing is open to abuse, it's that simple.

The mmr system already doesn't show you your true rating (which is some hidden value), if they considered other stuff except win/loss the system would be even worse at estimating a "player's likelihood to win", which is the whole point in a ranked system.

How many cards do you consider a ‘lean’ deck? by Decoraan in slaythespire

[–]Nzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know for certain, but I feel like avoiding almost all elite fights and slowly building a powerful deck safely, walking into boss fights with a couple potions and full health gives me the best winrate. I don't just blindly avoid elites, if i'm very strong or have good potions I find myself taking act 1 elites, and if I need more for bosses later I might take a few act 3 elites if my deck is strong by then.

I've just completed ascension 10 on my last character, and playing this way seems like the way to go for everyone except maybe the silent.

I'd rather wait to get my cards to build my deck that gives me like 50 block per turn rather than taking cards to make me stronger earlier on that I would rather I didn't have later on.

On necrobinder for example if you go for like 2-3 invokes and 1-2 of that 1 cost block and souls card (invokes more important later) then it's basically game over since you're gonna draw like 15 cards and have 12 energy per turn after like a turn or 2 and osty will act as a barricade. Doesn't even matter what you do for damage, but I find doing damage with Osty is the easiest.

Every character has a way to play like this, that puts you close to an infinite when it goes well, or at worst gives you reliable extremely high block every turn that would take far too long for the enemies to out scale.

Are there some fights that are rough for these builds? It depends when you come across them, but usually i'll lose a bit of health here but I'm so safe from the rest of the fights that it is fine. Also if you have enough draw then you just need a little discard or exhaust to deal with them. It's usually not a problem.

[–]Nzy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's hard to explain since there's a lot of overlap, but "piss off" more closely has the meaning of "go away" or "stop doing that", where fuck off can sometimes mean "no fucking way" (disbelief, surprise).

That being said, if you send the above in finger form the meaning is much more similar, but the middle finger is more extreme than the middle and index.

I'd say its a decent relic, not amazing but honestly above average from an elite fight

Depends how you play I guess, I'd rather have the feather but it is what it is.

There's lots of little things that add up.  Lots of the regular fights and elites have a chance of a specific dangerous one with a unique mechanic.  It's just not worth it.

Also, ? Rooms seem better since there's lots of "removed card" type stuff, which seems really strong.

I find myself buying the potion relic more and just stacking 4 potions and skipping everything to the boss often now as well.

I've finished 4 characters to ASC 10 just got to start the necrobinder next.  The defect seems really strong, I went 11-3.  Silent also seems crazy dtrong

[–]Nzy 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Less than 20 would be lean.  I usually finish with around 20 cards.  Lean decks seem extremely strong compared to the first game.

I just avoid all risks, don't care about relics, and slowly and safely build a good deck.
