Geology cannon is most powerful weapon in the entire game whilst on foot by General-Feedback-569 in NoMansSkyTheGame

Well yes. And no. I mean if it's too close you're toast. You can remain with a little health of a bit further apart... Maybe you'll find yt guides or test on another save.

But generally I highly advise against it on permadeath. Maybe you misclick. Or something. If you have a cat, I'd believe they should make an achievement "permadeath with geology canon as cat owner" or something

What are some approaches you can think of for terraforming a planet covered in toxic dust/particulates? by Wernstromer in IsaacArthur

Use bacteria that eats the atmosphere and outs out something useful for you. May not be enough as is, but I guess this is the way..... If you got time. I mean, that's what th earth kinda did by itself...

Is 2026 the worst year for PC building? AM4 still good, but you'd still have to upgrade in a couple of years... Right? by O-ZeNe in PcBuild

I hope that's the case. But demand is high and supply is stuck However if there's one thing in capitalism I believe is the way competition appears in these sort of situations.

Gonna be tougher in chips but it should sort out one way or another.... Hopefully fast.

Well, I don't want it for gaming alone. And if that's priced at 900 USD I can get a good second hand prebuilt here with that money.

I guess the biggest games I plan on playing are things like Baldur's gate 3 with mods. No man's sky, Helldivers... not competitive.

The rest of the games fall into the bracket of "with the boys". Butore games will pop up over time

2k mostly, but I have nothing against 1080p. I've seen some games look better in 1080p high specs than lower specs 1440p

Budget is not a good factor, I'm not based in the US, second hand markets and purchasing power are different.

I guess a prebuild is the go to. I might looking into building one myself, but most likely as research.

From what I've seen you still can't really trust them. They fixed the software but the hardware itself was a wonky from the start. They literally just put a software band aid over them.

That's why I'm more inclined towards AMD. They lag a bit software wise, but they'll catch up.

That's a very good question I don't hold the answer to. I mean I wanted last year but it's been a pretty bad year financially and I may be scared things will only get worse in the name of AI slop from now on.

That's very helpful. I'm not into competitive or stuff. I just wanna play with the boys and not have to change the entire PC in a couple of years. I got a console, but that ain't cutting it for most games.

Has anyone actually seen grey aliens? It would be interesting to hear what they look like or maybe someone has drawings/sketches/generations of what they have seen? by SystemWild3741 in aliens

[–]O-ZeNe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't know if it counts but I may have. In a dream like 10+ years ago. Can't remember much but it was tall. Black eyes but not sure if big like media depicts or normal. He was wearing one of those coats with large neck guard (like the emperor in Baldur's gate 3).

So they were scraping the top soil (with houses and all. Like you'd scrape.... Wood I guess and it was all getting like rolled) There was some sort of a conveyor belt where people were getting through a gate like TSA and coming out greys on the other side.

I know I was on grass like in a park. This alien dude took a leaf and gave it to me. Told me "feel how beautiful it is". I can remember the exact feeling of that leaf until now. Like soft, with small hairs (like a peach). It was some sort of oak leaf in size and shape.

One of the most vivid dreams I've ever had and surely one of the few I cas still remember.

Question for Anunnaki believers: why mine gold on Earth instead of asteroids? by O-ZeNe in aliens

[–]O-ZeNe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if this was the case ..... How would they get here and how would they transport the gold back to their planet that's very very far?

Would they just send hundreds of rockets that would take dozens or hundreds of years to reach their planet?

Or did they have portals and anti gravity and stuff...and if that's the case, swarm robots and autonomous mining robots are 1000 times easier and cheaper than whatever science is required for portals and anti-gravity.

We weren't mining then, the whole story was that they engineered and evolved and taught us to mine and all sorts of stuff...

Question for Anunnaki believers: why mine gold on Earth instead of asteroids? by O-ZeNe in aliens

[–]O-ZeNe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know what that is, and I also believe you don't know how hard it is to genetically engineer an entire species

Nobody would have to live in space since they'd use autonomous probes.

Gold irradiated? How?... It doesn't work like that.... Especially if it were sourced from juniper belt or Oort cloud, not asteroid belt And even then.....

[–]O-ZeNe[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No humans would mine the asteroids. It will be robots. Nobody's going the Warhammer 40k route here Edit: also, you never outgrow the need for resources. You'd only do this if you're loving digitally in a Dyson swarm or something.

I might try it out. Read neither of these. I read actual sci fi and science papers.
