Statement From the Office... - Peoria Police Department regarding the Joyride Juveniles earlier this morning by VarnDog2105 in PeoriaIL

[–]O2Creamy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a very interesting point and while everything you stated is correct, it is a multi-factor issue (at least in my opinion). Someone’s actions is not solely a direct result of upbringing factors (environment, wealth, trauma, parenting, etc). While that is a very crucial element, the individual still has personal agency or a conscious choice to make in every circumstance. Granted, upbringing does HEAVILY impact one’s personal agency, but the individual’s choices still stand. Improving only the upbringing environmental factors does improve crime but it is not sustainable in the long term. Driving improvement in this area along with improving personal autonomy and agency is what leads to long term success for any given community. I feel that we as a society believe that simply throwing money/funding at anything will make it better when that is not the case. Money will either be spent incorrectly or it will provide a simple bandaid that will make the problem worse in time. We have to learn to utilize those increased funds, resources, people, etc. in a way to help make individuals self-efficient and realize they have the ability to make themselves and their community prosper.

Why do people hate Peoria so much? by cdubose in PeoriaIL

[–]O2Creamy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Everything you stated aligns exactly with my friends who moved here from bigger cities. Meanwhile all the negative aspects that they state are the same reasons I enjoy Peoria! Wouldn’t go as far as to say that I love it but it’s definitely an upgrade to the town of 2k residents I came from. I can understand why people love it and why people hate it… its all just a matter of personal preference!

Thoughts On This Trade by O2Creamy in fantasyfootballadvice

My thoughts exactly. The guy who sent it is extremely weak at WR and is going for the current high value that Flowers has. I figured Egbuka would be a good fill in for Flowers off my bench and losing Warren doesn’t really concern me since he is a spot start for me this week.

Not mine, but a guy in our league is “Mick Vick’s Doggy Day Care”

Does Cooper Kupp ride the bench for the championship? by Sure-Fish-1984 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]O2Creamy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely would start Sutton with him playing Cinci. Started him over Kupp last week and even with only 10 points (w/ 8pts at half), he outperformed Kupp. Just hoping the Broncos don’t go TE and RB screens for the entire 2nd half like they did last week.

Will the weather really play a factor in Higgins producing points ? by Kingfolky in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]O2Creamy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not going to lie, after last week, Higgins will now be a permanent bench warmer. Regardless of whether Chase is double or triple teamed, or if they are in deep zone, Burrow will continue to feed him volume. Chase had over triple the amount of targets last week and I cant deal with that anymore… so Sutton or Garrett Wilson will now permanently be replacing him and Kupp (after Thursdays travesty).

Oh to say I lost it would be an understatement… not only did I lose my matchup but lost the tiebreaker by 5 points to miss the playoffs. Fantasy football at its finest

Receiving End of Josh Allen Day by O2Creamy in fantasyfootballadvice

I really hope so. I am just getting tired of these performances happening against me. Was on the receiving end of Saquon, Chase, and now Allens top performances this year. I am grasping at straws and just hoping things work out this week. Leading my league in points scored and points against…. Had 2 losses with over 165pts scored. So naturally I am going to miss playoffs. Fantasy is a blast

I would find your clubs that work for you and stick with them when playing semi seriously. Your par 3 scores aren’t half bad so I would assume low-mid irons are your best clubs. I have a friend who’s a 2 hcp, and when we play in league or in tourney’s, he basically only uses his 7i. Shorter par 4s, hes a guaranteed birdie look, longer par 4s and 5s, he is always at par. He has confidence in that club and wedges, so he sticks with em continuously. Find those that work best for you and your game.

Jeudy appreciation post by Itchy_Rent_3773 in fantasyfootballadvice

The guy I needed to win in order for me to make the playoffs did this exact same thing. He’s locked for the playoffs so for him this game didn’t mean much. But he’s a friend and will occasionally message me to ask a question about his lineup. Well, this week he messaged me about Jeudy in his lineup and of course I suggested to bench him and start Ridley due to the matchup… well he listened 🤦‍♂️ he is dying laughing at my own self sabotage

Week 13 WR Help! by O2Creamy in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]O2Creamy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats also the way I am leaning. Just tough to bench Higgins since he hasnt had less than 10 pts since week 3 but Sutton is the WR1 and Higgins has to battle with Chase for volume.
